What Are Sheet Lights? Where You can Use Them?
Sheet lights are the newest products and a modern lighting solution. They are similar to LED strips and panel lights, but not the same. They are known for their low-profile, thin design and are often used in commercial and residential settings due to their energy efficiency and uniform light distribution.
What are sheet lights?
Unlike LED strips, the LEDs are mounted on a single row or multiple rows of PCB board. The sheet panels are many LEDs mounted on the flexible PCB board, which has a rectangle or square shape. The PCB board has double layers to ensure stable electrical performance. The LEDs are packaged with pure gold wires and large-size chips. Only one bin LED is used for each order to keep the same bin LEDs in subsequent orders and ensure the consistency of the product. They work in DC12V or DC24V and have multiple signal or power adapters for easy connection. The back has double-sided adhesive tape, and the surface has screw holes, easy to install. The PCB boards have cutting lines, which allow them to be easily cut to any size and bent to shapes for your projects. They an distribute light uniformly across their flat panel surface, resulting in a soft and glare-free illumination that enhances visual comfort.
The benefits of sheet panels:
1. Flexible And Bendable: The LEDs are mounted on the flexible PCB board, which allow to be bent to various shapes for DIY projects.
2. Lightweight And Slim: The thickness of the PCB board only 8mm to make them lightweight and thin. They can be easily installed and mounted, even in narrow spaces.
Illuminate your possibilities
3. Uniform Lighting: The high-quality LEDs arranged on the board evenly to create a uniform and shadow-free lighting. Making them ideal for backlighting, signage, and ambient lighting.
4. Energy Efficiency And Long Lifespan: We use the LEDs are packaged with pure gold wires and large-size chips for a longer lifespan and energy efficiency. They will save energy and cost than the traditional lighting.
5. Conveniently Linkable: The light sheets have multiple adapters, which allow them to be connected to each other or to the controller/power supply. You can use them for large lighting projects and install them more conveniently than LED strips.
What emitting color products are available?
There are many products that fulfill your needs. You can choose a single color, dual white, RGB, RGBW, RGBCCT, individually addressable, and addressable products. For the single color products, there are 2700K warm white, 3000K warm white, 4000K natural white, and 6000K cool white colors available. You can connect to light dimmers, controllers to adjust brightness, color temperature, or set color or choose dynamic effects. They suit various applications, from creating a cozy atmosphere in residential settings to providing bright, crisp lighting in commercial settings.
What sizes are available?
There are two main size products available: square(9.84″*9.84″) and rectangle(19.29″*9.65″). There are multiple signal or power adapters on, you can connect each other together or connect to controller or LED driver.
How do you cut them to the desired size?
There are many cutting lines and cutting marks on the PCB board. You can cut to your desired size following the lines. For the addressable LED sheets, we will recommend cutting from back to front will not affect the use.
How to mount them?
The back of the light sheets has double-sided adhesive tapes, and the surface has screw holes. The screws and screw shims are included in the accessory bag. You can remove the protective paper on the tape and stick to the place that you want to install after cleaning. Or you can use screws to mount them.
How to power up them?
Because there are multiple adapters on the sheet panels, you can connect to the LED driver or controller light up easily. If you plan to install many pieces for your projects, you can connect them in parallel or add amplifiers and power supplies to avoid voltage drop issues and create evenly lighting.
Where can you use them?
Due to the high density of LEDs and slim, they are always used as the backlighting. Customers like use to bright the marble countertops, display boxes, shopping windows. They also can be used in architectural lighting, signage, photography, commercial displays, etc. If you want to use them in a wet place, you can choose our IP54 waterproof products. The surface has a clear silicone coated for high light transmittance, waterproof, colorless, and anti-yellowing.
In summary, the LED sheets are another versatility option for your lighting design, especially as the backlighting. Not only can be cut and bent for DIY projects, but also can be linked for large projects. They have long working life and reduce energy consumption. You can use to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of spaces they illuminate.
