Siblings or dating study ranks Zoë Kravitz & Harry Styles highest
The viral guessing game known as siblings or dating has fueled online debate about celebrity pairs who resemble each other, including recent jokes involving Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi. Sister Wives examined assortative mating by applying the golden ratio to rank 13 celebrity pairings according to facial compatibility.
Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles topped the physical compatibility ranking at 98.30 out of 100, followed by Ice Spice and Tobey Maguire at 95.60, Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly at 92.80, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner at 90.00, and Maya Jama and King Kenny at 87.20. Zendaya and Tom Holland scored 84.40, Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton 81.70, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet 78.90, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 76.10, McKenna Grace and Mason Thames 73.30, Karol G and Bruno Mars 70.60, Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi 67.80, and Dove Cameron and Damiano David 65.00. Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton recorded the highest couple attractiveness score at 97.30 out of 100, with Maya Jama and King Kenny second at 94.80.
Researchers selected the 13 pairs from those appearing in top Google Trends results for dating searches or frequent 2026 headlines. They assigned each individual a golden ratio score based on measurements of face shape, jaw shape, and eye distance. The absolute difference between the two scores produced a closeness figure indicating facial compatibility. An attractiveness score for the pair was derived from the average of their individual golden ratio scores. Pairs were then ordered by the compatibility figure.
Robyn Alesich, Matchmaker and Co-Founder of Sister Wives, stated that assortative mating reflects the tendency to be attracted to people who share similar traits in appearance, lifestyle, or values. She referenced Stanford research showing that long-term couples who looked alike were already similar on their wedding day and did not grow closer over decades, suggesting facial compatibility may support lasting relationships. Alesich added that attraction remains complex because shared interests, personality, confidence, and emotional connection all affect chemistry, and no facial measurement can accurately predict relationship success. She identified trust, honest communication, emotional intimacy, and shared values as the main pillars, along with respect for individuality and the ability to feel safe being authentic.
The referenced Stanford University study analyzed photographs of 517 couples taken within two years of marriage and again 20 to 69 years later. Volunteers and facial recognition software compared similarity at both time points. The research found no evidence that couples faces converged over time yet confirmed that partners already resembled each other more than random pairs at the start of their relationships.
Sister Wives operates as a dating and matchmaking platform for adults interested in polygamy, polyamory, polyfidelity, and other forms of consensual non-monogamy.
