‘Biggest Little Farm’ series premieres November 8 on YouTube

The Biggest Little Farm Series, a 12-part docuseries, premieres November 8 on YouTube for free global access. Artemis Rising Foundation serves as presenting sponsor, enabling worldwide availability of the family-friendly production.

As the official sequel to the 2019 award-winning film The Biggest Little Farm, the series extends the regenerative farming movement. The original documentary illustrated how working with nature rather than against it can transform depleted land into a thriving ecosystem and spark broader interest in that approach.

The series narrative focuses on the creatures that sustain the land and the predator-prey dynamics that shape it. It follows the battle between farmer and pest while asking whether the farm has grown too feral for its own good and how the stewards might decode nature's patterns after each setback.

Filmmaker John Chester observed that nature never stopped challenging their attempts to coexist. He stated that the series shares intense setbacks along with improbable moments of wonder that restored hope. Chester added that greater understanding of how nature endures, adapts and recovers could replace gloom with possibility, allowing families of any belief to see themselves in the imperfect story and decide on reasons for hope themselves.

Prior to farming, Molly Chester worked as a private chef in Los Angeles. She specialized in healing the gut through nutrient-dense techniques such as soaking, sprouting and fermenting, holding that a delicious and healing dish forms in harmony with the local ecosystem's rhythms.

Production credits list John Chester as director. Producers include Tom Quinn, Paul Gurinas, Jessica Gurinas and Shannon Green. Executive producers are John Chester, Erica Messer, Regina K. Scully and Sandra Keats. Co-executive producers are Amy Overbeck and Ali Galante. Laura Blackburn serves as production executive, Monesha as line producer and Brad Davis as senior story producer. Alex Somers composed the series.

The project captures 15 years of filming in Ventura County, California. The 2019 film reached audiences in more than 30 countries. David Kirsch and Rena Ronson of UTA represent the series and John Chester.
