Península boards Sofia Carrillo stop-motion debut ‘Insectario’

Variety reports that Mexican outfit Península Films & Entertainment has joined forces on “Insectario,” marking the first feature effort by stop-motion specialist Sofía Carrillo, known for her prior work on “Cerulia.”

Península’s Eduardo Díaz Casanova and Pimienta Films’ Nicolás Celis, the producer behind “Roma,” closed the co-production pact while attending the 24th Morelia Film Festival now in progress.
