CBS News correspondent Jan Crawford apologizes for post
Variety reported that CBS News correspondent Jan Crawford issued an apology for a post about Abdul El-Sayed that drew social-media criticism.
According to Variety, Crawford normally covers the Supreme Court and the impact of its rulings on U.S. policy and daily life.
The report noted that on Sunday the correspondent herself became the subject of public scrutiny.
Variety said Crawford, who has been with CBS News since 2009, wrote the post after attending a town hall the previous night.
