Give your content purpose. Join Conscious Good.

Conscious Good stands as one of the largest communities of creatives committed to raising consciousness. They envision a world where every being feels connected to themselves, to each other, and to something greater. The group hopes to encourage a new breed of filmmakers, marketers, producers, programmers, musicians, and artists interested in creative projects that carry a positive, consciousness-raising message at the core of their work. As part of their initiative, Conscious Good offers free memberships and allows members to network with other like-minded individuals in the creative industry. They also offer creative courses in building stories, documentary filmmaking, social media, and a variety of other topics. Conscious Good offers the highest quality stories and experiences to support a healthy and conscious lifestyle. We had the pleasure of interviewing Betsy Chasse, Head of CG's Creators Network, and Trina Wyatt, founder and CEO of Conscious Good, about their mission and the background behind this innovative network.

The organization continues under consciousgood.com as the home for prosocial media. Conscious Good’s Creators Network launched in fall 2017 as a private community to support conscious creators and fuel the conscious media movement. Their vision was to create an online space to gather, support, and facilitate collaboration among filmmakers and storytellers called to create conscious media. Conscious media catalyzes internal transformation in the viewing audiences, thus increasing their connection to themselves, others, and the planet. Evolving the collective consciousness is essential to solving global challenges. Without this evolution, the call to quickly and meaningfully address climate, social, and political problems goes unheeded. Conscious media has the potential to transform our collective awareness from a me-focused to a we-focused approach.

Evolution of the Conscious Media Landscape Since 2017

Since the 2017 launch, conscious media efforts have expanded with new organizations offering filmmaker support and teachings by early 2026. Creator economy trends in 2025-2026 stress purpose-driven, authentic storytelling alongside AI tools and community platforms. The original private network model has shifted toward broader visibility while retaining its core emphasis on inner transformation. Conscious Good’s continued presence reflects how the movement adapted to new platforms and audience habits without losing sight of its founding principles. The growth mirrors wider industry changes where storytellers seek both reach and depth in their work.

consciousgood.com serves as the current hub for community, content, and news. Joining Conscious Good Creators Network is free. Readers can visit the main site to create a profile and explore current options for engagement. The free membership invitation once pointed to a now-inactive link, so the active primary site provides the clearest path for anyone looking to connect with the network today.

Impact of Conscious Storytelling in the AI Era

2026 media trends note AI personalization and production alongside demand for genuine, purpose-driven human connection in stories. Conscious Good positions itself around prosocial media that elevates the human experience. Conscious storytelling offers a counterbalance to automated tools by keeping the focus on lived emotion and ethical intent. Filmmakers who integrate these principles can use new technology without letting it flatten the inner journey that defines their work. The tension between efficiency and depth creates fresh opportunities for creators who want their projects to resonate on a personal level.

What can people expect to take away from the courses? In addition to practical filmmaking, screenwriting, and business skills, the courses train creatives and visual storytellers to further develop their craft with the intent of elevating consciousness. The listed upcoming courses and events are from the 2019 perspective and should be noted as historical plans. Current site highlights streaming videos, podcasts, and Conscious Good Studios as forward elements. The Creators Network courses are focused on educating filmmakers on how to increase consciousness in filmmaking, storytelling, visual art, and music throughout the process to deepen the impact of their films and projects as well as transform the filmmakers’ own relationship with consciousness.

Recent Voices and Initiatives in Prosocial Media

Events such as ILLUMINATE 2025 and Story Movements 2026 convene filmmakers around transformational storytelling. Separate Conscious Media Movement projects plan expanded guidance for storytellers in 2026. These gatherings build on the foundation laid by early networks like Conscious Good. They extend the conversation about inner change and collective awareness into new formats and larger audiences. The continued activity shows how the original vision has rippled outward across the industry.

Tell us about the careers of the Conscious Good Creators Network group. What experiences do you have that makes your courses unique? Our courses are led by highly respected industry professionals with major film credits and who specialize in creating conscious films and media. Barnet Bain (Producer – What Dreams May Come), Betsy Chasse (Writer/Director/Producer – What The Bleep Do We Know?!), Tom Schlesinger (Script Consultant), and Akira Chan (award-winning documentary filmmaker and co-founder of Rare Media). Tell us about your approach toward Conscious Media? Why do you think that's so important now? Filmmaking is the modern version of myth telling, storytelling. The sharing of our myths and stories is how we as a species have continued our lineage, shared our history and our cultures, traditions, and rituals. Filmmaking has the power to transform a person, to change their minds, to open their hearts, to inform them of new ideas, and now, more than ever, film is impacting our choices as a society, exposing us to things we didn’t know or understand. Our hope through making films is to not only inspire external shifts in our behaviors, but also transform our hearts, and raise our conscious awareness within ourselves. We believe that change begins within the individual and then radiates outwardly.

What is the difference between social impact films and conscious films? Socially impactful films explore and expose changes required for external challenges and problems. They provide awareness and solutions to complex global challenges. Conscious media recognizes that all challenges on this planet are rooted in consciousness or the lack thereof. At Conscious Good, we recognize that in order to transform external challenges, we must transform the inner landscape or structure of consciousness. Barnet Bain offers, “In social impact stories, the main character aims to change outer circumstances. The stories that interest me most are those in which characters grow and change from within, even if outer world circumstances do not change.” What type of community can I expect to make in the network? We are community-driven. Our network is filled with filmmakers, storytellers, visual artists, musicians, and creatives who focus on their own personal development and spiritual practice and are interested in creating film and media that inspires and transforms their viewers. We co-create, offer support and mentorships, offer paid jobs, and most importantly community. It is a closed platform and we do not share or sell data or information.

Tell us why you think filmmaking is so important to the world? Films take us on an individual and collective journey. They hold the power to change minds and transform lives, creating greater connection, community, and shared humanity. “Conscious filmmaking, for example, necessarily requires the conscious storytellers to change the lens they use to view the world. That is, changing the lens they use when seeing the world as a binary place, based on conflict and opposition, to seeing the world as a unified-field of presence based on compassion. This can be challenging for storytellers who want to make their antagonists wrong, but conscious storytelling is having the courage to lift off the judgment and reveal the ‘why’ of any aberrant behavior — otherwise, we’re just preaching to the choir,” says Tom Schlesinger. What tips do you have for emerging creatives? Start creating and never stop! Read and watch films and media that inspire you. Take courses to expand your understanding of your craft, never stop learning. Have a daily practice of mindfulness or daily spiritual practice. Connect and collaborate with others who are interested in conscious media. Don't be afraid to let your personal life and journey lead the way when it comes to your creative expression and career. Authenticity and self-awareness are just as important as your technical skills.

What's the one thing you think we can do to help make our content more conscious? The first step to making more conscious content is understanding the basic structures of consciousness. Dara Marks, a conscious story consultant in Southern California, sums it up best saying, “Stories at their best, take us to the space that lies just outside of what we know about ourselves, and introduce us to a new piece of personal knowledge, one that enhances our connection to others, to nature, and to the divine. Most importantly, stories can transform our painful and even blissful life experiences into higher consciousness.” How are the Conscious Good Creators Network courses different from other filmmaking courses? These courses utilize protocols, practices, and principles that provide filmmakers with the internal transformational experience needed to evolve their conscious cinema making skills in a supportive, collaborative environment with conscious media experts and equally curious storytellers. What are examples of conscious media? Examples of conscious films include blockbusters such as Avatar, Interstellar, Black Panther, Selma, The Sixth Sense, Arrival, and The Matrix and award-winning documentaries such as What the Bleep Do We Know?!, I AM, Biggest Little Farm, and Free Trip to Egypt. Or even kids or family movies that have a deeper meaning, like The Lorax. And of course, What The Bleep Do We Know, What Dreams May Come, I Am… Conscious Good continues to invite creators and audiences alike to explore these ideas through its current platform and ongoing initiatives.
