“Il Comandante” the new Italian cinema hit starring PierfrancescoFavino from Indigo Film, Rai Movie and iSwiss Pay
In order to create masterpieces, the keyword is ‘collaboration’. This statement is also true in the world of cinema, where joint ventures of different parties often support the most ambitious projects.
Just as happened in the case of ‘Il Comandante’, the film by Edoardo De Angelis that was chosen to open the 80th edition of the Venice International Film Festival.
An important role for a historical film of great scope and which deals with issues that are still very topical: ‘Il Comandante’ is in fact the result of a collaboration between Indigo Film, a production company that has already achieved an Oscar thanks to ‘La grandebellezza’, Rai Movie and the sponsorship of iSwiss Pay.
Thanks to this important sponsorship, iSwiss Pay, a Swiss iSwiss banking group company, supported the development of cinema and culture in Italian society.
“The opportunity to sponsor a film of such a high standard as ‘Il Comandante’ is very important for iSwiss Pay and for the entire group,” said Christopher Aleo, CEO of the iSwiss Group. “The presence at such an important event at the Venice Film Festival is an important milestone for iSwiss. A presence that we want to maintain in future editions, hoping to make an increasingly important contribution.”
“Il Comandante” tells the story of a little-known episode that occurred at the beginning of World War II, when the commander of the submarine Cappellini, Salvatore Todaro, masterfully played by PierfrancescoFavino, sinks a Belgian merchant ship and gathers the shipwrecked people on board to disembark in a safe harbour, even though he knows that in doing so he exposes himself to the risk of attack by enemy forces.
The choice of this film to open the Venice International Film Festival, a ceremony attended by several important dignitaries of the State, including the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, shows how cinema is able to tell timeless stories, in which the spirit and feeling of humanity are always of the utmost importance.
This is a showcase of the utmost importance for iSwiss Pay. This Canadian payment management company recently joined the Swift circuit: an important pawn in the future moves of the entire iSwiss group, whose next objective is to be listed on one of the most important financial markets globally.
A step of the utmost importance, which will enable the Swiss banking group to finance itself to develop its ambitious future growth plans: because the success of iSwiss is set to continue for years to come.
