Online/remote working or in our LA or Mexico City office

We’re looking for a team of Marketing Interns to join our busy outreach department.

The role goes for 3 months to begin, but can become full-time for the right person.

Ideally we are looking for two marketing interns: one on Pacific Time, one on Eastern Standard Time.

The Role

  • Work with the Marketing Assistant and Marketing Manager to set the voice of the brand and assure that all staff communication adheres to that voice at all times
  • Build a powerful team of digital marketing mavens
  • Grow a professional network of partners & individual influencers
  • Communicate with our network, evangelize our users and improve our user experience all while boosting customer retention, sales and visibility

Your Team

  • Hang daily with our CMO to make sure all our marketing messaging is on-brand and inline with our mission/vision
  • IM up a riot with our Product Team to keep our User Experience on fleek
  • Influence our magazine content by putting your head together with our Editorial Team
  • Work with your boss to manage our team of Marketing Mavens, influencers, interns, and internal assistants to make sure our voice is heard far and wide

The Gig

In this educational placement, you’ll learn everything you need to know about working as a busy Marketing Assistant. By the end of your placement, you’ll be able to confidently:
  • Develop marketing strategy & messaging for products
  • Use data to report on past campaigns and influence future campaigns
  • Own brand communication through our marketing channels
  • Recruit assistant & intern teams
  • Manage a team of freelance social media stars
  • Recruit a team of online brand ambassadors
  • Encourage users to subscribe to newsletters regarding our products
  • Test advertising campaigns & copy
  • Create added-value propositions for products
  • Analyze market trends to assure we are creating relevant up-to-date products for our users
  • Work with the web development team on User Experience
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand engagement
  • Assure that all communication is on-brand across all platforms
  • Create partnerships with external organizations & bodies
  • Assuring internal deadlines are kept
  • Evangelize existing team to maximize internal marketing resources
  • Lead all departments in following marketing best practices at all time
  • Survey users and activate their suggestions
  • Develop & engage a professional network to further the goals of the brand
  • Develop & manage our newsletter strategy and oversee the production of our daily newsletter
  • Track metrics and report back to our advertising partners

You possess:

  • Degree in marketing, PR, or events management – OR experience working in sales, events, or marketing for at least 6 months
  • Flexibility & openness to new experiences, travel, and opportunities
  • Ability to work legally in the USA or Mexico
  • Understanding of digital products, ability to explain them in simple terms
  • Experience using: Trello, Riot, Slack, Google Docs, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, and Animoto

Bonus skills

  • Photoshop and/or Illustrator
  • Copywriting experience


Remote + occasional office days in our LA or Mexico City locations
