Will you be able to watch ‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ free on streaming services?
If you’re not a die-hard Harry Potter fan, the Fantastic Beasts saga may seem like a whole other series of wizardry & magic on its own. True fans know that the Fantastic Beasts stories are actually a prequel to the highly popular Harry Potter narratives.
Some obvious clues are that certain characters from Harry Potter are featured in the prequel as their younger selves, like Albus Dumbledore. A not so obvious fact is the main character Newt Scamander, who was mentioned in the Potter books as the author of a required Hogwarts textbook also titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
In this third edition of the prequel, there’ll be much more connections & references to the Harry Potter story we know and love, especially since it focuses much on Dumbledore. Hence the title, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

The cast returns (well, some of them)
Magizoologist Newt Scamander, a young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law), and a sorted bunch they tossed together to try and stop Dumbledore’s ex, Gellert Grindelwald (an excellent Mikkelsen, who replaced Johnny Depp) from starting an all-out war between wizards and non-magical muggles.
More than three years after the last entry in the franchise hit cinemas, Eddie Redmayne is returning as Newt Scamander in the third Fantastic Beasts film – Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore prequel series.
Magizoologist and the Qilin
The film opens up with an unsettling scene of the killing of a magical animal and its offspring. The survival of one baby animal becomes an integral part of the movie. Newt manages to save it, holding the deer-like animal in his arms as he runs out of a forest.
Newt’s plan involves protecting this magical creature called a Qilin, a rare creature that possesses the abilities to see the future and know if a person is inherently good or evil, from getting into the hands of a very dark wizard. While on the hunt for the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald, Dumbledore must prepare to face the powerful Wizard before the muggle world is destroyed.
The trailer of Fantastic Beasts 3 was released this past December, giving audiences sneak peeks of what’s to come. Hogwarts & a young Dumbledore are to be featured in the new film intertwining a Harry Potter vibe into the mix.
Dumbledore’s secrets
The movie’s trailer shows the audience a young Dumbledore grappling with his ex Grindelwald which leads to an epic battle to prevent a world war outbreak against the muggle or non-magical world.
Grindelwald is gaining more followers in his mission to take over the wizarding world and rid Earth of muggles. He poses a large threat to the balance of the co-existing wizard and human world.
It took fifteen years for J.K Rowling to reveal Dumbledore’s sexuality and the romance between him & Grindelwald is at the forefront of the storyline. Although Dumbledore & Grindlewald’s romantic relationship is a flame that has died out long beforehand, their animosity continues. The once lovers are now positioned against one another in light of Grindelwald’s devious plans.
Although it’s less likely to see the actual battle go down between Dumbeldore & Grindelwald since it seems that the timeline is still in the 1920s when the actual battle is said to occur in 1945. Unless there is a time-hop. Many of us will have to wait for the film’s release in theaters to find out.
In the trailer, Dumbledore references how one’s past can whisper to them in the present. This may be in reference to Dumbledore’s haunting past of regrettable pacts, deaths of siblings, and bad choices in partners.
But it seems that there’s much to be revealed in the new addition in the series of prequels. We’ll witness a whole new stage of magical beasts and the fate of the future. Fantastic Beasts will be streaming online soon after its official release in theaters.
