NBA Game 2 Live Free Online TV Channel Watch Nuggets-Heat Finals 2023

Jimmy Butler and the Heat, possibly a little burned out after the Celtics pushed them to a Game 7, showed up in Denver’s Ball Arena (yes, that’s what it’s called), and looked like victims of the higher altitude. But unless they play tremendously better when they’re back home in Miami, that excuse won’t hold up.

Denver is seeking their second victory in this Finals and their eighth consecutive win in these playoffs. They held the top seed in the regular season with an overall record of 53-29, so their presence in the NBA Finals comes as no surprise. During the 2023 Playoffs, Denver only suffered three losses and never trailed in any of the series they competed in.

If there was concern about how the supporting cast around Jokic would perform in the NBA Finals, those thoughts were quickly put to rest Thursday night.

Right now, though, it looks like the Nuggets won that game on their own, as Nikola Jokic’s latest triple-double didn’t even feel like a necessary part of the game. The Nuggets went up early without him even shooting, thanks to the efforts of Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray.

Playing in his first ever NBA Finals game, Jokic looked nothing less than his usual self as he recorded his ninth triple-double in this year’s playoffs with a massive stat line of 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. He joined NBA legend Jason Kidd as the only players in league history to notch a triple-double in an NBA Finals debut.

Call it tiredness or a result of the elevation in Denver, but Miami just looked outmatched in Game 1. Yes, the team struggled mightily to knock down 3s, making them at just a 33.3% clip, and while the team was getting open looks, if that shot isn’t falling Miami’s game plan is in jeopardy. Bam Adebayo had a standout game, and that was one of the silver linings for the Heat, but if Max Strus.

Nikola Jokić had yet another playoff triple-double, exerting his force whenever and however he wanted, while Jamal Murray dished out a brilliant performance reminiscent of bubble Murray. The Nuggets’ size advantage over the Heat could be a problem in Game 2, and the remainder of the series.

The Heat is making their sixth Finals appearance. Their most recent was in 2020, resulting in a defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers. They have three titles to their name, with the most recent being ten years ago in 2013, led by LeBron James.
