We have a premiere date for the fifth season of the 'Breaking Bad' prequel. 'Better Call Saul' is returning for S5 and here's what we know.

Everything we know about ‘Better Call Saul’ S5

After a grueling 16-month wait for the return of AMC’s Better Call Saul, a premiere date for the fifth season of the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad prequel series has finally been announced.

In a two-night season five premiere, Bob Odenkirk returns as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman to serve up more speedy justice beginning Sunday, February 23 at 9:00 PM ET and continues with the second episode on Monday, February 24 (preceded by a rerun of the season premiere). The show will resume its normal Monday schedule for the following eight episodes.

AMC’s press release has revealed the first batch of images from the upcoming fifth season. In a collection of medium shots, we see Jimmy apparently argue his first case as Saul Goodman and collaborate with Nacho (Michael Mando) and Huell (Lavell Maurice Crawford). We also see Kim (Rhea Seehorn) staring into the void of the middle distance, Mike (Jonathan Banks) looking pretty miffed about his cup of coffee, and Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) cast in silhouette.

Better Call Saul has been off the air since October 2018. In the interim, AMC has stated that Jimmy McGill’s decision to practice law as Saul Goodman creates “unexpected and profound waves of change for those in his orbit.”

In other words, we’re chuffed for the return of our favorite slimebag lawyer’s next chapter.
