It’s going to be a very interesting season of 'RuPaul’s Drag Race'. Here are the judges to expect in season 12 of 'Drag Race'.

Judges announced for ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 12

It’s going to be a very interesting season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. We already knew Nicki Minaj was returning to the runway as a guest judge for season 12, but VH1 has announced who else will be gracing their presence on the Drag Race stage. If you thought Hello Kitty was a weird judge, get ready to see this season’s choices.

While some obvious choices like members of the Mean Girls cast and Chaka Khan are gracing the queens with their presence, U.S. representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jeff Goldblum are definitely mixing it up. But as we’ve learned in the past, the strangest judging choices can read like nobody’s business and end up nailing their guest judge role.

You go, Daniel Franzese!

If you’re going to pull anyone from Mean Girls, you have to get Damian, there’s no other option. Daniel Franzese and co-star Jonathan Bennett A.K.A. Aaron Samuels will share the stage together in one season 12 episodes of Drag Race.

I’m every queen

The queen of funk Chaka Khan has to show these queens how to wear their crown. All we want out of Khan’s episode is a funk themed runway outfit, watching these queens serve some delicious funky fashion.

Let’s get political

In the season 12 teaser for Drag Race, it’s clear politics is going to make its way into at least one of the challenges this season. Not surprising, considering U.S. representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will get her chance at the table this season.

Give you some “Motivation”

Former Fifth Harmony member Normani will be stopping by at one point during the season. Hopefully, she’ll teach the queens (and the rest of us) how to bounce a basketball off your butt, and how to do even half the choreography in her “Motivation” music video.

Bloom time queens

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend creator Rachel Bloom better be judging a musical challenge. With all the music she helped write for the musical comedy, we know she’ll have shade on the queens’ work.

Icon leading queens past the haters

Winnie Harlow’s name might not sound familiar to you, but she gained prominence over the past 10 years for speaking out about the skin condition vitiligo. While Harlow was bullied in her youth for her discolored skin, she thankfully has found her place in the world as a runway model for a variety of brands.

She’ll definitely show these queens how to get past criticism and be yourself.

Snatch Game come to life

Season 11 champ Yvie Oddly played Whoopi Goldberg in last season’s Snatch Game, so it’s no wonder they pulled the actress herself for season 12. The legendary comedian will definitely be spilling tea alongside Mama Ru, just like she does every day on The View.

In a galaxy not so far away

After spending some time in space thanks to Star Wars, Daisy Ridley is back to Earth and ready to judge. While we would’ve loved to see her star alongside Oscar Isaac who’s gone on the record for his love of Drag Race, we’re excited to see what she brings to the table.

Time for Goldblum thirsting

Jeff Goldblum has just become a meme over the past five years, not helped by a very eccentric performance in Thor: Ragnarok. But if anything, his thirsty DILF status is truly what helped him launch into meme status. We can’t wait to see these queens thirst over him too.

“Dancing On My Own” no more

After an iconic lip-sync to Robyn’s hit song during Drag Race All-Stars 1, it was only a matter of time until the Sweedish electro-pop singer made her way to the judges’ table. Performing since she was 15, Robyn knows a thing or two about staying relevant throughout changing styles. She’ll make these queens work under pressure.

The SNL/Drag Race crossover you didn’t know you needed

After RuPaul made his way onto Saturday Night Live as host, you knew it was only time before someone from SNL made their way onto Drag Race. Thankfully, icon Leslie Jones is taking her turn at the judges’ table. Considering she’s about to host her own competition with Supermarket Sweep, she could learn a thing or two from Mama Ru.

The real queen arrives

It took 11 seasons for Mother Monster Lady Gaga to make an appearance, and it took longer for our dear Barbz Nicki Minaj to make her way on stage. But Drag Race will never be the same thanks to Minaj. We already know she’s going to kill it, so we hope this isn’t the last of her on Drag Race

Last but not least. . .

Olivia Munn and Thandie Newton have done so much in film and TV over the past 10 years, it’s hard to make a good pun to focus on them since they’ve been everywhere and back. But both actresses will make an appearance on Drag Race, and we can’t wait.

RuPaul’s Drag Race 12 will make its return on February 28th on VH1 at 8pm. If you want to know what queens to look forward to this season, they were announced back in January and you can read about them here.
