‘Surviving Jeffrey Epstein’: The worst Ghislaine Maxwell revelations

In the same vein as Surviving R. Kelly, Lifetime’s docuseries Surviving Jeffrey Epstein centers the experiences of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. While the disgraced multimillionaire died by apparent suicide last year, his former girlfriend and “madam in chief” Ghislaine Maxwell is awaiting trial for her part in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.

While Ghislaine Maxwell maintains her innocence, victims have come forward with harrowing stories about Maxwell’s part in Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. Here are some of the most disturbing factors coming out of Surviving Jeffrey Epstein that involve Ghislaine Maxwell.

Jeffrey Epstein requested up to three different victims a day

This is how the numbers of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims added up to the thousands. From the accounts of Virginia Roberts-Giuffre and Courtney Wild, Epstein demanded that his victims bring him, new underage girls, to abuse. Epstein would pay the girls he raped $200 and girls who brought him “friends” a $200 finders’ fee per girl.

Sometimes, per victims’ statements, Ghislaine Maxwell would handle payment & recruitment for Epstein. Virginia Roberts-Giuffre recalls Maxwell participating in the abuse also.

Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell chose victims who couldn’t fight back

Victims were pursued who came from impoverished families. The girls from these backgrounds were less likely to turn down the money Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell offered them. They were also less likely to have an adult in their lives who cared about their wellbeing or would bring attention to authorities.

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell would also offer career advancement. They told Virginia Roberts-Giuffre that they would help her become a professional masseuse and pay for her education. Two of Epstein & Maxwell’s earlier known victims, Annie and Marie Farmer, were given opportunities to teach in Thailand and get artist residencies.

This is how Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell justified the abuse to themselves. They didn’t fund these girls’ education and line their pockets out of the goodness of their hearts. They did it to keep them coming, keep them quiet, and keep them bringing more girls in under the guise of an “opportunity” for aspiring models & masseuses.

Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyers met with victims to discredit them

During Jeffrey Epstein’s 2005 sexual assault investigation, Epstein’s lawyers tried to arrange meetings with the victims. They wanted to paint the victims as “prostitutes” by looking at their social media profiles and using Epstein’s enticement with money.

This discrediting led to Epstein’s lenient plea deal in 2008, and Ghislaine Maxwell not being charged in connection to Epstein until this year.

Dirty Birthday to Jeffrey Epstein

For Jeffrey Epstein’s fortieth birthday, Ghislaine Maxwell arranged for singing performers to come to his door. Maxwell also laid out instructions to compose a birthday song for Epstein. The six men appearing at Epstein’s doorstep in tuxedos is normal. Singing about Epstein’s everlasting erections is not.

The song also alleged Jeffrey Epstein’s time at the Dalton School, when he taught math to teenagers. Lyrics like “Taught math at Dalton/ The naughty boy blushes/ To think of schoolgirls/ And all of their crushes” are gross, the abuse he handed to teenage girls notwithstanding.

Jeffrey Epstein wanted to date Paris Hilton

Ghislaine Maxwell tried to set Jeffrey Epstein up with hotel heiress and reality star Paris Hilton. Maxwell claimed the size-0 blond would be perfect for Epstein, who was twenty-eight years older than Paris Hilton.

Journalist Christopher Mason recalled Maxwell describing Paris Hilton as a “teenage-looking girl” at a party in episode four. This is when Maxwell expressed she’d be “perfect for Jeffrey” and asked for an introduction

Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation was massive

While Jeffrey Epstein was only charged in 2008 for his crimes in Florida, his sex trafficking operation expanded internationally. He took victims to his island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the worst abuses happened. He also took his victims to his properties in London and Paris.

Apart from trafficking victims across the globe, Jeffrey Epstein employed thousands of girls in his schemes. With the help of Ghislaine Maxwell, he recruited tons of underage victims and handed them to wealthy, powerful men who may still have influence over people’s lives.
