Do you want to stream ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog’ online for free?

Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, chances are you’ve maybe heard of Clifford the Big Red Dog. The lovable crimson canine made his first cultural appearance when Norman Bridwell started the children’s book series back in 1963. Even though Bridwell died in 2014, his creation still lives on in print & on-screen.

Clifford the Big Red Dog has entertained kids for generations & continues to do so. In 2021, there’ll be a new installment into the Clifford canon. Produced by Paramount Pictures, the live-action Clifford the Big Red Dog film stars Jack Whitehall, Darby Camp, and Tony Hale among others. It’s set to hit screens on November 10th.

You’ll certainly be able to stream the Clifford the Big Red Dog movie for free on websites like Putlocker or 123Movies soon. However, there are plenty of other ways to stream Clifford content online as well. With so many different renditions of Clifford available, both you & your kids will be happy.

Clifford the Big Red Dog (PBS series)

In addition to the books, some of us may be most familiar with Clifford from the PBS Kids show that aired in the early 2000s. The original Clifford the Big Red Dog television series ran from September 2000 to February 2003 & had sixty-five episodes. The series concluded with a theatrical film called Clifford’s Really Big Movie, which premiered in 2004.

The PBS version of Clifford the Big Red Dog will probably be nostalgic for you if you remember watching it around twenty years ago. The animation style & jaunty music may bring back memories of watching the cartoon after school. Both the PBS show & Clifford’s Really Big Movie are available to stream with an Amazon Prime membership. You can also stream episodes on YouTube.

2019 Amazon Prime Video Series

Amazon gave Clifford an adaptation for a new generation in 2019. While the show is still animated & set on Birdwell Island, the style & content changed. The show is meant to look more like a children’s drawing, yet in an intentional way.

Emily Elizabeth has a new look, as do Clifford, her parents, and her friends. There’s also a lot more singing, as every episode has its own song.

If you’re a die-hard for the original PBS series, then the 2019 version might not be for you. However, it’s still an interesting way to see how the series has evolved with the times. You can stream the new Clifford cartoon on Amazon, along with the PBS version.

Clifford’s Puppy Days

If you can’t get enough of Clifford the Big Red Dog, then you should check out the spinoff series Clifford’s Puppy Days. Created by the team at PBS Kids, the prequel show aired from September 2003 to February 2006. As you can probably guess from the title, the cartoon follows Clifford before he became big. We also get to see Emily Elizabeth when she was younger.

Clifford’s Puppy Days has the same throwback feel as the PBS original that came before it. This is due to the fact that it seems to have the same aesthetic feel & animators. The show is set two years before the events of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Despite its conceptual appeal, the series only ran for thirty-nine episodes.

Notably, Clifford’s Puppy Days features Happy Days star Henry Winkler as the voice of Norville. Winkler even received a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on the show in 2005. Even though Clifford’s Puppy Days doesn’t seem to be available on any streaming services, you can stream it on YouTube for free.

It’ll be interesting to see where the live-action version of Clifford the Big Red Dog ranks among Norman Bridwell’s intellectual property. Are you excited about the new Clifford movie? Let us know in the comments!
