The Mandalorian is ‘Among Us’: All the new game skins to try

Do you like The Mandalorian? Are you still addicted to Among Us? Then good news, everyone! There’s a way to combine your love between the pair with some customized Among Us skins that make you look like your favorite character from The Mandalorian. Now, these custom skins are not some kind of crossover between The Mandalorian and the Among Us.

Instead, these Among Us skins are the creation of Reddit user XxHimate789xX who made them in Paint 3D. If you’re not entirely caught on The Mandalorian season 2, then these will contain some pretty big spoilers for characters that appear in it. Although, at this point, it’s been over for a couple of weeks, you’ve probably know what happens in the end.

How to import a custom skin

The first step, you’re going to need to edit the Among Us asset file. You’ll need to download something called the Unity Assets Bundle Extractor (UABE). With that,  you are able to open and edit the internal Among Us files that’ll allow you to get the custom skins imported. You’ll need to locate the file which should have the URL “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Among Us\Among Us_Data”.

From there you’ll need to open the file sharedassets0.assets in UABE, which should open a “Select a type database” menu. Scroll to the bottom of the menu, select the most recent database, and click OK. Once find the Among Us skin that you like, save it to your PC and select “Load Package File” on UABE. In this case, you want them custom The Mandaloroian Among Us skins.

That will prompt a “Load state from package” menu to appear. Make sure all of the options in the menu are checked and the base folder is set to if you’re using the default Among Us file address: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Among Us\Among Us_Data\sharedassets0.assets”. Hang in there, you’re almost done with everything!

Click OK & navigate to file then save to export the modified version of the asset file. Then past the file into “Among_Us_Data” and the new assets should now be imported into Among Us. Now you can look like Din or Ashoka or the Armorer. Basically, whoever from The Mandalorian that you love with all of your heart, thanks to XxHimate789xX making those custom skins.

Anything else?

Nope! Luckily, however, you’re locked and loaded to go with your Among Us skins to make you look like The Mandalorian character of your dreams. Honestly, the settings in Among Us work really well with the general vibe of The Mandalorian. So this is something that really marries well for fans of both the series and the game. Hopefully, it will lead to even more fun.

Plus, Baby Yoda (anyone else refusing to call him Grogu?) demands blood. Even the most dedicated fan of The Mandalorian knows this. That baby enjoys the violence way too much, bless his little heart. He’s made for Among Us. Once you’re done playing Among Us in your brand new custom skin, then be sure to watch The Mandalorian seasons 1 & 2 over on Disney+.
