With only one season of 'Space Force' on Netflix it can leave you wanting more. Watch these other shows instead while you wait!

Missing ‘Space Force’? All the shows like it you can watch now on Netflix

After Donald Trump announced he’d like to create a new branch of the military everyone laughed, assuming it was just another of his pompously stupid musings. It wasn’t. The Space Force was actually created, making it the first new armed service since 1947. Pretty nuts, huh?

We all know the entertainment industry can’t pass up an opportunity to tackle a wacko situation and put a hugely satirical twist on it. Thus, the show Space Force was born. In it, you get a whole lot of Steve Carell, some Ben Schwartz, a dash of Jimmy O. Yang, and a pinch of Lisa Kudrow.

All in all, you have a pretty killer cast with well-delivered deadpan humor. With only one season of Space Force on Netflix it can leave you wanting more. The first season aired on Netflix all the way on May 29, 2020, and there’s no telling when the next season will be released. In order to tide you over until your next Space Force fix, here are some shows you can watch that are sort of like it.

Do you like Vikings? Do you like deadpan humor? Then Norsemen is the show for you. It does silly things like imagine the conception of the traditional horned Viking helmet. While reviews on the show are mixed, there’s no denying that if you’re looking for a series with a good measure of action but is also sure to bring you at least a few laughs per episode that Norsemen’s got your back.

As Netflix so wonderfully put it, in this Norwegian show “the Viking of Norheim have a hectic schedule that includes pillaging, plundering, enslaving others and solving problems with violence.” If that description sounds strangely irreverent that’s because, well, this is pretty much the M.O. of the entire show.

Documentary Now!

This is without a doubt one of the weirdest shows out there. With a title like Documentary Now! at first you don’t know whether to take it seriously or not. As you watch more and more it becomes painfully obvious that it is indeed a mockumentary parodying the culture’s obsession with documentaries

Please watch it. It’s a work of art. We can’t say you won’t walk away dazed and confused, but like, in a good way. ‘Ya know?

Arrested Development

We simply can’t leave this classic off the list. If you’ve already watched it, watch it again. It’s kind of hard to get enough of this American sitcom. It sits with the greats like The Office when it comes to off-kilter humor. You might watch an episode and think you’ve laughed for all its worth, but then watch it again and discover new jokes you never even caught.

If you’re one of the poor souls who haven’t given Arrested Development a try before – what are you doing? Close out this tab and go watch it! If you like razor sharp witty writing definitely check this bad boy out. You may not think following the story of a dysfunctional wealthy family on the rocks can be that entertaining, but, oh it is.

Real Rob

Real Rob features the real life of Rob Schneider as storyline. Of course, the situations are exaggerated for max comedic effect, but the principle remains. It’s a nutty world out there. Navigating the ups & downs of life are only made more strange when juxtaposed against the effects of comedic stardom. This autobiographical sitcom follows Schneider everyday like with his wife & daughter.

Real Rob is the kind of show that won’t exactly leave you in stitches but you’ll be chuckling under your breath enough to merit a watch. At the very least it’ll certainly be an acceptable buffer show until Netflix releases some more Space Force.
