Are we in the midst of UFC's next great fighter? Jake Paul is ready to dive right into his boxing career. Here's everything we know about Jake Paul.

Is Jake Paul really trying to take his boxing career seriously?

Jake Paul has been accused of using boxing for views & likes on social media, but did you know this YouTuber is actually in-it-to-win-it? Paul is done defending his boxing career and is ready for action in the ring. Let’s see what’s next for the rising star.

Jake Paul is hungry!

Get ready, ladies & gentleman, because it looks like Jake Paul’s boxing career isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. According to Page Six, he is training for his fight against former UFC fighter Ben Askren everyday which includes Paul’s strict diet at the Gramercy in Coral Gables, Florida.

A source explained that Jake Paul actually “kept his meal clean and light” with only a grilled chicken and a glass of water.

Despite his quick meal on Sunday, Page Six’s source added that the fighter promised to return to The Gramercy after his fight against Ben Askren, to eat their “deviled eggs and banana split”. Sounds like quite the victory meal!

Boxing time

Jake Paul will fight against Ben Askren on April 17th at the Triller Fight Club banner which will actually be the fight’s main event. It should also be noted that fans wanting to view the boxing match will only be able to watch through the usual fighting platforms.

On the other hand, the fight will be a full card which means that famous UFC fighters & boxers will be featured on the event’s card. Therefore, celebrity Jake Paul will actually be included.

ESPN reported that the weight class for the boxing event hasn’t been agreed on yet, but most fans believe it could be within the 185-190 pound range.

Ben Askren vs Jake Paul

Ben Askren is also getting ready for the 20-by-20 ring fight against Jake Paul. In fact, the match will include 10-ounce gloves and is Akren’s first pro boxing match.

Though this isn’t Jake Paul’s first fight, Ben Askren is definitely ready to put Paul in his place. Askren told ESPN: “I know Jake Paul is enjoying pretending he is a fighter. . . I think on April 17 he is going to have a rude awakening to what being a fighter is really like. Jake has led a privileged life and doesn’t really know what the meaning of being a fighter is. I’m going to put his dreams to an end.”

Ben Askren might not be rooting for Jake Paul to succeed, but Page Six reported that Raush Manfio actually had nothing but praise & faith in Paul’s boxing career. Manfio told The New York Post: “I believe Ben Askren can take a punch, but Jake Paul has knockout power.”

“Thrill of the fight”

Most people know Jake Paul from his loud YouTube videos, but today Paul is setting the record straight about his new boxing career. According to ESPN, Jake Paul claimed: “Ben Askren is a two-time NCAA champion, a world champion in two different global mixed martial arts organizations and has less losses on his record than Conor McGregor.”

Paul further explained: “Me, on the other hand, I started boxing two years ago and I’m still going to knock his ass out faster than (Jorge) Masvidal. These MMA guys think because they throw punches they know how to box. The world complained because I knocked out a basketball player and not a real fighter.”

“So now I’m giving the people what they want by taking on a ‘real fighter.’ After Ben Askren is added my knockout meme collection, what can anybody say? Thank you to Triller Fight Club for giving me the platform to once again put a man to sleep. April 17, it’s lights out for Askren,” concluded Jake Paul.
