Fans are beaming with excitement over the release of 'Justice League' on HBO Max. However, is there another way to watch the Snyder cut for free?

Dying to watch ‘Justice League: The Snyder Cut’ for free? Here’s where to watch

Fans of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) are finally able to watch Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League, a 2017 superhero film that went through a production hell so historic that it’ll surely be made into a documentary one day. While the original 2017 film, helmed mostly by Joss Whedon, failed to capture the appreciation of audiences, fans saw just enough notes of brilliance within the film to ask for a “Snyder Cut”.

Campaigned by many fans, including the cast of Justice League itself, Warner Bros. finally saw to it that Zack Snyder got his fair shot at making his original vision for the film, in which he famously had to depart early in production due to the tragic passing of his daughter. Now, almost a year since its announcement, Zack Synder’s Justice League is finally here, and fans are loving it!

The film is currently available on the HBO Max streaming app. However, are you looking for a chance to watch the Snyder cut of Justice League for free? Let’s see what information we can dig up to better help your viewing endeavors.

HBO Max

First launched on May 27th, 2020, HBO Max joined a gauntlet of streaming services, squaring off against many worthy opponents such as Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus.

By getting an HBO Max subscription, you’ll be invited to experience a wide range of content including HBO premium programming, third-party titles, WarnerMedia’s impressive library, as well as original content made specifically for the streaming service.

Sadly, HBO Max did retract its free trial just in time to take advantage of the streaming service’s exclusive premiere of the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 last December, starring Gal Gadot and directed by Patty Jenkins. HBO Max’s current stand-alone, all-in-one service will cost $14.99 per month of use. But what about ways to get HBO Max for free?

Already subscribed to HBO?

If you already have access to HBO through either a cable or satellite provider, then you should have access to HBO Max and all of its content, including the Snyder cut of Justice League. Certain providers currently offering this streaming service are the following:

Xfinity, Wow!, Verizon Fios, Optimum, RCN, Spectrum, Suddenlink, Altice One, Cox, DirectTV, AT&T U-verse, Atlantic Broadband, and Apple TV Channels.

Time to upgrade

Amazing news if you are currently paying for the on-demand HBO streaming platform, HBO Now: HBO will upgrade you to HBO Max for free!

However, you will need to make sure you’re signed up with HBO Now and are directly billed through HBO, and not Roku or Amazon Prime.

Is HBO Max worth it?

As it stands, HBO Max offers a catalog of content estimated to be over 10,000 hours of both film & TV, including the four-hour Justice League Snyder cut, which is almost as bad@$$ as the director Zack Snyder himself.

Some of the bigger series owned by HBO Max include titles such as Game of Thrones, Friends, Westworld, His Dark Materials, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Little Lies, Chernobyl, True Detective, South Park, and plenty more.

Movie wise, HBO Max offers films such as Joker, A Star is Born, La La Land, Lord of the Rings, True Grit (2010), Aliens, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, and hundreds of other movie options, including all of the current film in the DCEU such as Wonder Woman, Man of Steel, Aquaman, and others.

What about for free?

Yes, yes. Don’t think we forgot about you cheapos out there. While HBO Max doesn’t currently offer a free trial, there’s still some good news regarding how you can watch the Snyder cut of the Justice League for free!

If you’re an AT&T wireless subscriber, then you may actually get a free subscription to HBO Max as part of their super unlimited phone, TV, and internet plan. Your best option might be checking out the Synder cut of Justice League ASAP.
