TikTok star Caitlyn Loane garnered a huge following on the TikTok app after the fourth-generation farmer began sharing videos of all that goes on in her action-packed life out in the fields every single day. The young girl worked as a livestock manager for her parents’ 1,400-acre cattle farm out in Tasmania, an island in Australia. She even expressed in the past that she had planned to run the farm one day when she grew up. 

Her daily routines, that the TikTok star shared with her TikTok followers, included tons of interesting activities that ranged from treating her sick heifers to driving tractors all the way to showing off her country couture. She became so popular that her following reached over 50,000 followers. The country girl was also a huge trailblazer for women who work in agriculture, and her bio even reads: “Promoting Women in Agriculture”. 

In a haunting last TikTok, the star posted a photo montage of the young farmer’s life as the audio asked: “How far would you drive for the girl of your dreams?” In the caption of the TikTok post, Caitlyn Loane wrote: “How about to Tasmania?” In the montage of photos from the video, the TikTok star included a picture of her with a cow, her with a friend, one of her getting dirty in the mud, and another of her shearing a sheep.

The TikTok star took her own life at just nineteen years old. In a heartbreaking statement, the family of Caitlyn Loane expressed: “Words can’t describe our loss”. Her father, Phillip Loane, also shared that “She was a lovely, crazy young woman who was an invaluable member of our family”. The young girl’s mother, Richele, also shared that her “smile lit up the room” and the TikTok farmer “wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty”. 

Just like her family, other loved ones such as friends of Caitlyn Loane have been expressing the pain they’ve felt from her passing. A classmate named Kaycee wrote on Facebook: “Oh how my heart hurts to know you have left us all, the bright, bubbly, beautiful but crazy girl. I will never ever forget the fond moments and memories we have together”.

A sports club that Caitlyn Loane was a part of at her school wrote: “It is with deep sadness and regret that the Devonport Football Club acknowledges the sudden passing of one of our female players, Caitlyn Loane. The priority of the Devonport Football Club at present is to provide an empathetic, supportive network to all associated with the club, with particular focus on those most affected by the tragic passing of Caitlyn”.

Earlier this month, Caitlyn Loane had shared her journey to TasWeekend magazine during Agfest Tasmania, where the farmer had been overseeing cattle judges. The young lady expressed: “In 2018, I realized that school wasn’t giving me the skills and experience I needed, so I applied to the Sunday Creek Cattle Station, in the Northern Territory, so I could gain experience and learn more”.
