Want to watch ‘Run, Hide, Fight’? Stream it for free in these places

While film violence is anything but unfamiliar to movie viewers, it’s uncommon to watch a film that’s either based on or highlights a mass school shooting. Run Hide Fight is a film that very much delves into the theme of mass school shootings, putting viewers in as cold & dark a place as the sometimes harrowing reality we already live in.  

The new film Run Hide Fight revolves around the idea of a school shooting, only with a  Die Hard style twist to make the film more, we don’t know, exciting? The film exchanges much of the fun of John McClane’s antics and instead trades it in for a harsh look at the reasons & implications of school bullying, as a group of teens opens fire in a high school while one teenage girl quietly seeks to put a stop to it.  

Run Hide Fight is distributed by the popular American conservative website The Daily Wire, a site that typically delves into right-wing politics. The film had its world premiere at the 2020 Venice Film Festival last September and debuted on The Daily Wire platform on January 14th, 2021. Run Hide Fight features actor Thomas Jane (2004’s The Punisher, Deep Blue Sea) as the dad of Zoe Hull (Isabel May), who’s been dealt a rough hand with the death of her mother, causing a strain in the relationship between her & her father.  

While Zoe is dealing with other problems related to high school, like dodging her best friend’s Prom invite, a van crashes into the school’s cafeteria armed with four gunmen who are on a sinister mission of their own. Zoe, who manages to escape in a variety of impressive ways, tries her hardest to help others in the school to safety as she decides to deal with the shooters herself.

Utilizing the lessons of her father as well as her background in hunting, Zoe attempts to not only prove to the shooters they’re in for a rude awakening but to also prove to herself that she’s stronger than she believes in the process.

Run Hide Fight currently holds a critic rating of 25% on the film rating site Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a 13 out of 100 on Metacritic. 

IndieWire’s David Ehrlich had the following to say about this The Daily Wire produced film: 

“Run Hide Fight is a glib, artless, and reprehensibly stupid thriller that doesn’t even have enough on its mind to be provocative. It’s a movie made by someone who’s seen too many movies, and now made at least one too many as well.”

Is it streaming? 

While many may be itching to watch this violent teenage shoot ‘em up, they may have to wait a little longer before watching Run Hide Fight for free, seeing as how the film is currently not available through most streaming apps, such as Hulu, Netflix, or HBO Max. It’s also unclear whether or not these streaming services will release the film at any point in 2021.
