As one of the most popular streaming platforms, people have always searched for ways to watch new Netflix shows for free, especially in a time where it seems like everything out there is merely a spin-off of something from the past with recycled plots & jokes. Even if you choose to stop the auto-playing, the company will still let you watch some of their content for free.

Disable autoplay and video previews
It only takes three simple steps to disable the autoplay and video previews. Once you’ve opened Netflix on your phone or PC, visit the Profiles section. Scroll down and you’ll see an Account section which you’ll need to press on.
Within step 2, scroll down and click on your name (or profile). The drop-down menu will give you a few different options, including profile lock and language. You’ll want to tap on Playback settings.
In step 3, you’ll have to tick the boxes according to your preferences then click on the Save icon. You’ll receive two options – one for the episode and the other one will be for video previews.
Codes
What’s this about finding Netflix shows and movies through codes? The platform gives people the option to search for category-wise content, but maybe that won’t be enough for you? When you choose comedies in the category section, you’ll find all the respective shows and movies accordingly. But sometimes, you’re in the mood for horror comedies? Romantic comedies, historical comedies?
There are codes for sub-categories so you can smoothly find the content you’re looking for. Just visit Netflix-Codes.com, and click on the sub-category. Netflix will then present your preferred content like it knows you so well.
Parental controls
“Family content” might not be what comes to mind when we think about Netflix, but it certainly lives throughout the platform. You could construct a dedicated child profile and limit it to only content with a specific rating level.
Open Netflix, then head over to Profile, and then Account. Scroll down to Profile & Parental Controls so you can top on the profile you want to regulate. Click on Change, which will be located near the Viewing Restrictions option. You will then be asked to type your Netflix password.
Then merely set the maturity rating for the shows and movies you want to keep in that profile. Fill the Title Restrictions section and you’ll see a list of limited titles listed on it. Click the Submit button.
Free content
Believe it or not, there are quite a few users who are unable to purchase a subscription to Netflix. But you can watch some of their content for free. Yes, you could really watch new TV shows for free but of course, there’s a catch.
