Fox looks to launch on-demand National Geo service in 2018; hopes to attract millennials

Fox Networks Group is set to launch a National Geographic on-demand service in Europe and Africa come 2018. Dubbed National Geographic+, the service will package together content into “topics” in a bid to attract millennials, a demographic used to binge-watching programming at the click of a button. Nat Geo hopes that the platform will provide a wider audience for its factual programming, but the scripted content that the network is now pushing will also be included.

Actresses attached to the Ashley Judd film Trafficked have revealed shocking allegations of sexual misconduct and assault. In an uncomfortable parallel to the film’s story, following the international sex trade, it is alleged male actors were coached into mistreating their female counterparts. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, producers Conroy Kanter and Siddharth Kara described the claims as “deeply distressing”, but insisted that some claims involved “significant embellishment and exaggeration”.

M. Night Shyamalan has wrapped filming on Glass, the forthcoming comic-book thriller that ties together the narratives of Unbreakable and Split into one “explosive” saga. The pic, due for release on January 18, 2019, sees Anya Taylor-Joy (Casey Cooke), James McAvoy (Kevin Wendell Crumb), Samuel L. Jackson (Mr. Glass), and Bruce Willis (David Dunn) reprise their respective roles. Quite the cast!
