‘Money Heist’ season 4: All of the Professor’s best moments

Money Heist wouldn’t work without The Professor (Alvaro Morte). Not even from a technical standpoint, but just because the character of The Professor is so genuine in his actions, and such a giant nerd, that you want to see him succeed and take down the government and their fraud.

Sure, part of it comes from his relationship with the rest of the gang, as well as his relationship with Raquel (Itziar Ituno). But really, Alvaro Morte has always been the star of the show, and not just because he’s the sexiest cast member. Money Heist, and especially Money Heist season 4, would not be what it is without The Professor.

So to honor the mastermind and legend of our team, as well as because we’re still not over Money Heist season 4, we’re taking a look back at The Professor’s most iconic moments.

The phone charger

Of course we gotta start with that iconic ending to part 2. Poor Raquel just wants to see her man, and of course her phone dies again as she’s searching for The Professor in the Philippines. But a kind gentleman is always ready to give up his charger to a lady in need. Plus, perfect callback to their first meeting!

A touching moment between brothers

Sure, it’s kind of sad that the two are discussing what happens if one of them doesn’t make it out of the heist alive. But that final dinner between Berlin (Pedro Alonso) and The Professor right before the heist on the Royal Mint is sweet. Plus, “Bella Ciao.”

Dad of the group

Denver (Jamie Lorente) is actually the worst with how he treats Monica (Esther Acebo) in regards to the heist, but an argument at 3am between the two is never a good look. Especially when the entire gang gets involved. Naturally, someone’s got to be the dad and tell the children to quiet down and stop fighting.

This is far from the only moment of him being the dad of the gang, but it’s really the funniest one.

Fathering Nairobi’s child

Sadly, we’ll never know what a Nairobi/The Professor child will look like, as Nairobi (Alba Flores) was taken from us too soon. But the fact that The Professor was willing to give Nairobi the one thing in this world she so desperately wanted is beyond touching. Plus, she’s not wrong: he is very brilliant, has principles, and is very handsome.

Tokyo being his guardian angel

Tokyo (Ursula Corbero) is a lot of things, but stupid isn’t one of them. Emotional for sure, but she knows how to play the game just as well as anyone else. Watching her comfort The Professor and then help him realize Raquel isn’t dead is powerful, but also touching to see the connection the two have together.

The speech of a century

Do we need to say anymore? The minute he took the mask off while on camera took all of our breath away, and we’re still in awe at the speech he gave to not only the Spanish public, but the police.

Honorable Mention: The Professor’s city name is Vatican City

Since The Professor never goes by a city in the show, we can’t technically count this as one of his most iconic moments. But Alvaro Morte shared in an interview the unofficial name he’d choose for The Professor, and we’re on board with it.

“This would be Vatican City. It’s a state city. A very small one. But like The Professor, it’s always shielded, and at the same time, it has a great power all over the world,” shared Morte. We’re sold.
