Rocking the Suits

It is a lot harder to nail down Meghan Markle’s exact net worth when you don’t have her exact paycheck numbers. At least when she was just known for Rachel Zane on Suits, experts knew what Markle was making. At the peak of her career on Suits, Markle was averaging $85,000 an episode.

Markle also made over $300,000 for earlier film projects Remember Me & The Candidate. In 2014 and 2016, Markle starred in two different Hallmark Channel movies as well, though her paycheck for both roles have not been disclosed. Over the years, Markle has had various guest appearances in popular TV shows as well.

There is no indication Meghan Markle plans on returning to acting, but experts say Meghan Markle could be looking at a minimum of $1 million an episode if she were to return to the world of cable TV.

The Tig and sponsorships

Along with her acting career, Meghan Markle earned her net worth from her fashion and lifestyle blog The Tig. Operating from 2014 and 2017, Markle wrote pieces about food, fashion, beauty, feminism, travel, and more. Over the years, more writers joined The Tig as the site’s popularity grew.

On social media, the site had over 3 million followers on Instagram and 800,000 likes on Facebook. Experts estimate over the years, Meghan Markle earned close to $80,000 from endorsements and sponsorships relating to The Tig. However, Meghan completely shut down The Tig in 2018 after her marriage to Prince Harry, deleting all blog posts and social media accounts

The royal paycheck

The numbers we discussed above are the obvious ones. Those numbers are how experts determined Meghan Markle had an estimated net worth of $2.2 million before marrying Prince Harry. But now she’s Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. So how much money did that title add to her net worth?

Truthfully, there is no recent number. Last estimates said Meghan Markle had a net worth around $5 million at the beginning of 2020. But much has changed since then. Meghan recently narrated Elephant on Disney+, and herself and Prince Harry scored a multi-million dollar Netflix deal.

However, the couple stepped down from royal duties, and bought a nice giant mansion in California. Meghan Markle’s net worth has most likely changed drastically in 2020, and no official numbers are out to give us an idea of how much the Duchess of Sussex is worth.

The latest numbers estimate as a brand, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could have a combined net worth of up to a billion dollars. Between the founding of the Archwell Foundation, their Netflix deal, and other future business deals, it wouldn’t be unlikely the two have such a high net worth.

We may never know the truth behind Meghan Markle’s net worth, as the numbers continue to drastically change thanks to her work. All we know for sure is she may not have the palace’s money anymore, but Meghan Markle has nothing to worry about financially.
