Kourtney Kardashian claims she’ll ‘KUWTK’: Instagram is dragging her

The iconic reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians ended early this year after a whopping twenty seasons. The final episodes were rife with drama & conflict. So why is Kourtney Kardashian now being blamed for the show wrapping up so suddenly after her post on Instagram?

Initial announcement

When the show initially ended, fans were all desperate to learn why. One insider told US Magazine: “They’re business people first & foremost, and it’s very obvious to those around them who are in the know that they can make a ton more for a lot less hassle by pursuing opportunities elsewhere.”

Another insider claimed that, “Right now, they all want a break to consider their options, and that will include spinoff possibilities with Ryan Seacrest involved because they’re still incredibly loyal and grateful to him as well as the network.”

The source added the Kardashians have “outgrown the show and taken it as far as they can. They’re seeing through what’s expected of them and being totally professional as well as pragmatic.”

“The ladies were done with long hours and think they are famous enough without the show to make all their money online,” added an insider.

Is there more to it?

With all the drama that transpired between the sisters over the last few years, anyone could reasonably wonder if merely “taking a break” is the whole truth behind the show’s end. In September 2017, Kourtney & Kim got in a huge fight over their families annual Christmas card shoot. Previously, there had already been some tension between the two, (to put it lightly), because Kim accused Kourtney of having poor work ethic.

Leading up to the infamous fight, Kim became frustrated at Kourtney for not making time to participate in the shoot. From there, the tension escalated. Very quickly. 

“You’re a very distraught & evil human being,” shouted Kourtney through the phone. “I don’t agree with who you are as a human being.” On the other end, Kim rolled her eyes.

“Ok, well, if I said something that hurt your feelings, I’m sorry. But clearly there’s something else going on because you’re acting like a f****** lunatic.”

Kourtney shot right back: “If I had enough money, I wouldn’t do the show! I would be a full-time mom. Honestly, we have a disgusting family. I’m ashamed to be a part of people like that. It’s just gross.” Yikes!

Aftermath of the big fight

Admittedly, that’s a pretty tough fight to bounce back from. Kourtney was clearly not over it after the fact, and said as much in a confessional video. “For years, it used to be Khloé & I against Kim. And for the last maybe three years, it’s just been such a different dynamic where it’s been Kim & Khloé against me. I feel like my attitude back to them is a reflection of how they’re treating me.” 

Khloé also sensed some distance between her & her sis. “Ever since she’s been seeing this therapist, she’s angry with me, or annoyed at me,” Khloé confessed. “Kourtney & I have a really special bond, and I haven’t felt it for the last couple of months. I feel a major disconnect between her & I.”

And, finally, Kim was at her breaking point, too. “I just don’t know how much longer we can go on like this,” Kim said in a confessional. “I have been filming the show nonstop for fourteen years – nineteen seasons and six spinoff seasons. I was feeling unfulfilled and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was.”

Recent Kourtney backlash

A couple days ago, Kourtney posted a photo of herself at a KUWTK shoot in a gold dress on Instagram, captioned “I’m gonna miss our @kuwtk photo shoots.” Immediately, people came at her in the Instagram comment section. “You legit wanted to quit though,” said one user. “Really?” added another. “Didn’t you quit because it was all too much for you?”

Another shot back on Instagram: “Now she’s complaining about missing KUWTK shoots, when you wanted to stop filming. Girl bye.”

What’s next for the famous family?

Of course, the famous Kardashian family isn’t going to be out of the spotlight for long. Starting another show is always a possibility, but the new one likely wouldn’t be anything like their recent reality show.

The Kardashians are currently looking at possibilities of a talk show, or a show documenting Kim’s political career. Whatever it is, though, we’d be surprised if there wasn’t some juicy drama involved.
