Screenwriters, take notice, the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship is still accepting entries. The competition was created to locate, expose, and nurture up and coming screenwriters who have yet to break into the mainstream industry. 

Seeking new and compelling projects from as yet undiscovered and unheralded writers, the Inroads Screening Fellowship acknowledges that once you’ve got the talent, making it is not what you know, it’s who you know. Inroads want screenwriters to meet the right people, right away.

What prizes does the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship offer?

With sponsors including InkTip and Filmmatic, the competition knows exactly the kind of exposure a new screenwriter needs. As a winner of the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship, the fellow will receive paid travel to Los Angeles, offered in $1,000 cash.

Upon arrival in LA, the fellow will have the opportunity to meet with Hollywood development executives and mentors. The overall winner also receives a one-year premium screenwriting-staffing membership, the perfect resource for finding paid writing gigs.

The Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship offers laurels to 100 finalists and 10 honorees, as well as the one fellow who wins overall. The prizes for honorees include an InkTip Screenplay listing package and press and exposure for all finalists and honorees. With the Inroads Screenwriting exposure including 24,000 industry professionals, as well as outside media and their growing list of reviewing manages and producers. Additionally, all entrants will receive an invitation to Filmmatic’s annual Sundance networking event.

How to enter

The final deadline for entries into the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship is March 31st, 2020. The competition is open to all screenplays and pilots and must be submitted in English, with entry fees paid in USD.

Only online entries are accepted, and all writers’ names should be listed, and will need to authorize the submission. Scripts can be submitted in .PDF (preferred), Final Draft, Movie Magic Screenwriter, Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format or Text. 

No entries will be returned, and entrants retain all rights to their screenplays. Submissions and payments can be submitted either directly through the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship website, or through FilmFreeway, there is no preference given to the method of submission. Any script entered into the competition is considered a final draft, and no revisions will be accepted. 

Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship season 3 has the community buzzing

The first two seasons of the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship made their mark in the screenwriting community. Previous entrants happily sing the praises of the well-organized, communicative competition.
