Hotel Translyvania produces hit movies 

In the movie sequels, Hotel Transylvania 2 & Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, Mavis & Johnny get married and have a son named Dennis. Adventures continue to ensue as Dennis lacks vampire powers. 

Count Dracula worries that his grandson may not grow fangs and possess vampire qualities while Mavis is planning to move to California – taking Dennis with her. Dracula does his best to instill all things vampire into his grandson, hoping to convince his daughter to stay in Hotel Transylvania. 

In the third movie, the family goes on a summer vacation to escape the stresses of running the hotel. Count Dracula meets the ship’s captain, Erika Van Helsing, and falls deeply in love with her.

Dracula is surprised by his newfound love, after losing his wife, Martha, when Mavin was a baby. Yet, what he doesn’t know is that Erika is secretly trying to assassinate Dracula.

Replacing Adam Sandler 

Sony Pictures continues the story with a fourth installment, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. This time the gang needs to combat the longtime rival Van Helsing as he uses his new invention, the Monsterfication Ray, to transform all the monsters into humans and humans into monsters. They have to find a way to switch back to their normal selves before the change becomes permanent. 

The film returns with an all-star cast with the exception of Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler produced multiple movies of the series but decided not to return for the fourth movie. According to Radiotimes, “It was announced in April 2021 that Adam Sandler would not be returning for Hotel Transylvania 4. The actor voiced the part of Drac and he has been replaced by Brian Hull.”

Radiotimes explained, “Hull has previously voiced Drac in the short film Monster Pets and directors Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon said the storyline allowed them to make the change.”

Drymon said: “The fact that he turns into a human was a good opportunity to do things a little differently. He could be a little different than he was in the movies, and it would be natural.” Brian Hull & Brad Abrell are respectively voicing the roles of Dracula & Frankenstein, replacing original stars Adam Sandler & Kevin James.
