Itching to watch 'Wandavision' but don't have Disney Plus? Here's how to snag a free Disney Plus subscription so you don't miss out.

Dying to watch ‘WandaVision’? How to score a free Disney Plus subscription

You got to the office on Friday (or logged into your work chat from home) and what’s everyone talking about? Wandavision, the first Marvel TV show to exclusively hit Disney Plus. The first two episodes dropped Friday morning and unless you have that sweet, sweet subscription to Mickey Mouse’s new venture, you’re out of luck . . . or are you?

The first two episodes have probably been spoiled for you (thanks, inconsiderate coworkers!), but thankfully, there are ways to watch the following Wandavision episodes without having to shell out $6.99 per month for a Disney Plus subscription. Stay tuned below because we have all the deets on how to get your hands on the next Wandavision episodes for the grand price of zero dollars & zero cents.

What you missed

If Greg from accounting and Millie from IT haven’t spoiled the show for you already, and you want to be in suspense about what happens to Wanda & Vision in the first two episodes, skip this section. If not, here’s a quick recap of what you missed.

Our favorite quirky lovebirds Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Vision (Paul Bettany) are living in a zany 50s sitcom world. The first two episodes on Disney Plus play with the common “honest misunderstanding” trope that was a mainstay in sitcoms from that era & beyond. However, the plot thickens when Wanda begins to notice strange things happening in her 1950s world like, gasp, color!

The plot of the first two episodes features basic stuff for 50s & 60s sitcoms. Wanda & Vision are a superpowered woman and a robot respectively trying to fit in with the normies in their black & white suburban town amid the Red Scare and conformity culture. They have to outwit nosy neighbors & stern bosses to fit into their new lives – hijinks, of course, ensue.

However, why they’re in TV Land and not in a remote log cabin might not be as it seems, since a mysterious voice keeps calling Wanda through the radio. Throw in some ominous Easter eggs and the plot thickens!

Disney Plus subscription

If you read the plot and are screaming “shut up and take my money” right now, good news! Disney Plus is one of the more affordable subscriptions out there. For $6.99 per month or $69.99 for the year, you can download Disney Plus to your iPhone or laptop and start watching the entire Disney catalog.

Besides having the entire Disney & Pixar animated canons, a Disney Plus subscription gives you access to the Star Wars franchise and the entire MCU catalog, including the movies & past shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (spoiler alert: you might want to rewatch this show before diving into Wanda & Vision’s latest adventures).

However, if you’re not down to watch The Jungle Book between seasons of The Mandalorian or binge your 90s Disney Channel faves (for the record, we kind of want to rewatch ‘Gargoyles’ right now), shelling out money that can go to a Starbucks latte instead might not be worth it to you.

What about a trial?

So can’t you just sign up for a free seven-day trial and watch Wandavision in a week? Unfortunately, no can do. First, Mickey Mouse pulled back free subscriptions so people wouldn’t binge The Mandalorian after every episode aired and then leave the mouse hanging

Second, since these free trials only last a week and Disney Plus only releases two episodes of Wandavision per week, you’d need to either shell out the dough for a Disney Plus subscription or find another way to snag one for free for longer to keep up with the whole series. Is that even possible?

F-R-E-E spells free

Of course, you can always mooch off someone else’s account. However, if you don’t have any family & friends who’ll let you log into their account, here are some tips to snag yourself a free Disney Plus subscription

If you want a Disney Plus subscription for free, the easiest way to do that is to be a Verizon Wireless customer. If you sign onto Verizon’s Play More and Get More Customers unlimited plan. This plan includes the Disney Plus & Hulu bundle, which would normally cost subscribers $12.99 per month.

Not on Verizon? US Mobile is offering a free Disney Plus & Hulu subscription with the purchase of three unlimited lines of service. So if you’re in the market for a new phone company and want a free Disney Plus subscription, US Mobile’s got you covered. Per Android Central, their unlimited plan costs $40 per month and includes other perks like free Spotify & Playstation Plus.

However, if you’re not in the market for a new phone line, Xbox can help you out. With an Xbox Game Pass, you can snag thirty days of Disney Plus for free. However, it’s only thirty days, so if you want to watch the entire first season of Wandavision for free, time getting this perk when the last four episodes come out.
