Edward Scissorhands (1990)

First off, we can’t forget about this classic 90s Tim Burton masterpiece. Johnny Depp has worked with Tim Burton on several occasions, and they make a perfect duo because Depp has the perfect look for some of Burton’s offstandish & quirky characters. To this day, the director still considers this film to be one of his favorite movies. We also can’t forget about the superbowl commercial of Timothee Chalamet impersonating him!

In Edward Scissorhands, Johnny Depp plays one of his most iconic characters, a young man who has scissor blades instead of hands. It’s a wonderful and offbeat fantasy romance, and this film is also regarded as a classic not just because of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, but also because of the lovely and talented Winona Ryder who plays Edward Scissorhands’ love interest. This is truly an iconic flick anyone can enjoy.

Pirates of the Caribbean franchise

Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies as Captain Jack Sparrow is arguably one of his most iconic characters he’s ever played to date. After all, there’s a reason why this franchise spans five films; we just can’t get enough of Captain Jack Sparrow! What we loved about this series wasn’t just the plot & story, but also the lovable and goofy personality of Jack Sparrow that Depp so effortlessly brought out.

Of course, there’s a reason why this franchise went on to become an actual ride at Disneyland locations. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) even landed Johnny Depp the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, and even got him nominated for Best Actor from the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and the BAFTAS.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an all-time classic, and to this day, it’s still considered to be one of the most fun and sweet family friendly films to come out of the 2000s.

In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka is the aloof, quirky, and witty owner of the world’s most famous chocolate factory. After taking a long break from his factory, he finally surprises the world one day by inviting five lucky children on a tour in his factory. This movie is full of laughs, weirdness, lots of humorous songs by the Oompa-Loompas of course, and is sure to keep you entertained throughout.
