‘THE COVID KILLER’ Sequel Gets The Greenlight From Shadow Films And Dark Knites
On Friday (Dec. 3), Shadow Films and Dark Knites entertainment officially announced plans to release a sequel to the new hit film The Covid Killer, aptly titled The Copycat Covid Killer. The film will be released on Oct. 13, 2023, which just happens to fall on Friday the 13th.
Paugh Shadow had these things to say about the future of The Covid Killer franchise:
“This is only the beginning. We have a Covid Killer Trilogy planned, and a Covid Killer Universe that we are building towards that will include a variety of fun new future horror icons in the same vein as Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhess and Chucky.”
“A matter of fact, one of the killers we’re developing to get his own spin-off is Krazy Klowny. Played by Johnny Careccia, Krazy Klowny had a minor role in the first film, but has since grown an immense fan base due to his now popular catch phrase, ‘It’s Krazy Klowny time Kids!’”
“Thank you to those who have experienced The Covid Killer so far, and those who are going in the days and weeks ahead. We’re excited to continue the journey!”, said Paugh Shadow, President and Ceo of Shadow Films.
Written and Directed by Jeff Knite, the film also stars Paugh Shadow, Jorge Gautier, Tony Diaz, Johnny Careccia and Jeff Knite.
The Covid Killer is produced by Shadow Films and Dark Knites entertainment and distributed by Gravitas Ventures.
The distribution deal was negotiated by Sebastian Twardosz at Savant Artists.
The Covid Killer was released in the US & Canada on Nov. 2.
