Travel to California this summer and visit these gorgeous destinations

If you have plans to travel to California this summer, there are a handful of gorgeous destinations that you simply can’t miss out on. People from all over the world travel to California with high expectations because Hollywood’s in California – and that’s where so many movies & TV shows are filmed. 

The beautiful city lights, warm beaches, and amazing sites to see are very much worthwhile if you know what you’re doing before you travel to California. Add these stops to your itinerary as you create a plan this summer.

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is easily at the top of many people’s lists when it comes to their choice to travel to California. It’s located in Central California near Sierra National Forest & Stanislaus National Forest. The beautiful location has been recognized worldwide for its stunning waterfalls, clear water streams, Sequoia Grove, granite cliffs, green meadows, glaciers, and more. The biological diversity is absolutely breathtaking. 

Golden Gate Bridge

Although the Golden Gate Bridge is labeled with the word “gold”, the bridge is actually red. Nearly 9,000 feet long with 220-foot suspensions, this bridge spans the mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean. Getting the chance to cross this bridge or even to just admire it from afar is totally worthwhile. 

Golden Gate Bridge is absolutely beautiful and internationally used as the main symbol of San Francisco. Even though San Francisco is not California’s capital, the Golden Gate Bridge is often used to represent California.

Disneyland Park

Taking a trip to one of the most well-known & beloved theme parks to ever be built should be at the top of everyone’s list. While Disney World is located in Florida, Disneyland’s home is in Anaheim, California. 

It’s been around since 1955 and is filled with a plethora of rides, photo ops, characters in costume, delicious food, gift shops, firework shows, and more. This California destination is a must for people who want to travel to California with children.

The Hollywood Sign

The Hollywood Sign is undoubtedly one of the most noteworthy places to see in California. It’s possible to hike up extremely close to the Hollywood Sign to take awesome pictures. There are even bike paths that people can take to get closer to the iconic letters. The Hollywood Sign is certainly an American landmark with it’s bright white letters standing at forty-five feet tall and 350 feet wide.

Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier really has it all providing boardwalk shopping, dining experiences at incredible restaurants, and even carnival rides. The iconic Ferris wheel is a true winner. The Santa Monica Pier was built right on the edge of the ocean and provides the perfect space for fishing, photo ops, and pure fun. 

There are plenty of concession stands at the Santa Monica pier to get food from for those who don’t want to sit down & eat.

Venice Beach

Venice Beach in California isn’t necessarily great for swimming, but it’s definitely the place to go if you want to see street performers, colorful murals, and the more artistic side to California. There are free-spirited individuals all over the place and most of the shops open on Venice Beach are perfect for foodies, influencers, and people who care about shopping at the most stylish boutiques ever.

Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach is a popular beach location in Orange County, California. The beach town rose to fame and grew in popularity after an entire reality TV show on MTV was named after it following the lives of a group of beautiful & wealthy teenagers. One of those teenagers happens to be Lauren Conrad. This is an awesome beach to go for people who want to surf & swim. Hop in, the water’s nice!

The Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame covers fifteen blocks of Hollywood Boulevard as well as three blocks of Vine Street showing off gorgeous brass stars to represent some of the biggest celebrities to ever live. 

The first star to ever be given to a celebrity was back in 1960, and it was awarded to Joanne Woodward. Celebrities receiving the honor of getting their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame still happens every year. You don’t want to miss this spot if you travel to California.
