Most Exciting Things about Breeder’s Cup 2021

The coming years promise more exciting horse racing moments for American horse racing fans. One of the best classic US horse racing events is Breeder’s Cup, and it is going to happen this coming November 5-6 at Del Mar, where the turf meets the surf.

One of the world’s major horse races of the year will be held in Del Mar for the second time. Furthermore, there are more exciting things that fans can expect in this year’s Race of the Champions.

What’s Special About the  Del Mar Race Track?

The iconic racetrack known as Del Mar was founded in Southern California’s beach town of Del Mar,  where everyone enjoys witnessing a race as much as the summer sea breezes in this spot.

The racecourse first opened for business in 1937, and a match race the following year successfully set the wheels in motion. America’s champion Seabiscuit competed against South American bet Ligaroti in a close race, wherein  Seabiscuit won by a nose.

For the record, Del Mar has been staging many champions through the years. For example, triple Crown 2015 winner American Pharoah is a two-time Del Mar Futurity champion. Moreover, the Pacific Classic has drawn outstanding middle-distance runners, with notable winners including Game On Dude, Pleasantly Perfect, and Beholder.

Del Mar also hosts the Del Mar Oaks, the Bing Crosby Stakes, the Clement L Hirsch Stakes, and the Del Mar Debutante.
