For those of you who haven’t binged every episode of TLC’s reality TV series 90 Day Fiance and all of its spinoffs, Big Ed is one of their breakout stars. First appearing in season 1, Ed “Big Ed” Brown has been a perennial face on the franchise ever since. Most recently, he and his ex-girlfriend Elizabeth “Liz” Woods confirmed their engagement after a scorching break-up on 90 Day Fiance: The Single Life. 

But . . . is that really how Big Ed became a meme? His recorded insecurity – and his blow-up at his ex Rosemarie Vega – played a part. As did lathering his hair in mayo 🤮🤮🤮. . . But it’s his neck, or apparent lack thereof, that had meme lords firing up their keyboards. Big Ed has a rare condition called Klippel-Feil syndrome, meaning he has less vertebrae in his neck than the average person.
