Christmas countdown: Watch all the best Hallmark movies online for free

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, which means there are plenty of Christmas movies out there for viewers to enjoy. Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ have the usual classic fare, as well as made-for-TV movies from channels like Lifetime. Yet one network has become a staple of Holiday films. Hallmark is a go-to source for streaming Christmas content for free online.

This year is no exception when it comes to the bounty of movies available to watch. In addition to being famous for making greeting cards, Hallmark has dozens of new Christmas movies coming out this year. As part of their “Countdown to Christmas,” the network is playing new & old holiday movies all month long. 

However, if you don’t have a cable subscription, then there’s no need to worry. There are a number of new Hallmark Christmas movies available to watch for free online. Here are some of their best new movies & where you can stream them online for free.

Maps and Mistletoe 

This heartwarming holiday story stars Humberly González as cartographer Emilia Martin, who makes maps for schoolchildren. Emilia is set for a relaxing Christmas at home when her supervisor assigns her a new project. At the eleventh hour, she must design a kitschy treasure map of the North Pole. Unbeknownst to Emilia, this project will lead her to find love. 

In order to complete her novelty map, Emilia turns to North Pole explorer Drew Campbell (Ronnie Rowe) for help. Drew begrudgingly assists her, but in doing so, the two uncover that there’s a spark between them. Maps and Mistletoe is directed by Max McGuire & is written by W. Stewart.

A Christmas Exchange 

This Christmas TV film from last year features Laura Vandervoort as Molly Cooper, an American girl spending the Christmas season in the U.K. Molly decides to swap her home in the country for a ritzy London apartment. While looking for love in London, Molly begins to feel affection for the flat’s owner, financier Patrick Kingston (Rainbow Sun Francks).

Molly gets excited whenever she’s able to interact with Patrick, even if it’s not in person. Patrick also feels a connection to Molly through the endearing texts & emails she sends him. The two strike up a fling as they become immersed in each other’s lives by swapping homes. 

A Christmas Exchange is directed by Justin G. Dyck. The screenplay was adapted by Neale Kimmel from a novel by Barbara Hannay. You can find this film, along with other Hallmark Christmas movies for free online using YouTube. However, A Christmas Exchange may be listed on the site under the title of Road to Christmas.

Christmas Together 

This TV holiday movie stars Vivica A. Fox, Anna Marie Dobbins, and Marc Hermann. The plot centers on a young woman named Ava (Dobbins), who moves to Los Angeles from New York after a rough break-up. While there, she decides to rent a guest house owned by a single father named Mason (Hermann).

Ava & Mason quickly discover that they have more in common than they expected. The two are shipped thanks in part to Mason’s neighbor Deb (Fox). Christmas Together is directed by David DeCocteau & written by Jay Cipriani. You can stream this Hallmark feature & other Christmas movies for free online using Pluto TV, Peacock, and Tubi.
