Take a break from your ‘Friends’ binge: Watch these movies with Jennifer Aniston

Who doesn’t like Jennifer Aniston? The first actor from Friends to be honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, her career took a major upswing with her performance of Rachel Green in the hit sitcom. Her portrayal of Rachel was so iconic that she created a style influencer out of thin when the concept didn’t even exist.

There are many things we remember Rachel Green for. With the recent announcement of the Friends reunion, you might be inclined to binge through the show (yet again), but may we interest you in other movies that Jennifer Aniston has been in? If you have to get blown away with her stellar performances, why stay stuck at the dated show that couldn’t even decide if Rachel & Ross were on a break.

Add the following movies to your list for your Jennifer Aniston-themed movie marathon plans.

The Bounty Hunter

It helps that both Jennifer Aniston & Gerard Butler are so likable as actors because having them loathe each other as exes can be too hard on our hearts. In The Bounty Hunter, an action-comedy featuring a divorced couple, none of the pair is better off than the other. They’re both at their wit’s end & at their grace’s end.

When you’ve got nothing left to lose, why not just take an assignment to bring your ex-wife to pay up, right, folks? The charm of the movie doesn’t lie in the action — it’s somehow sexually charged yet frigid — so we have these two actors to make us like the characters Milo & Nicole. In a refreshing change of pace, neither has a claim to any kind of moral superiority.

The kind of sharp criticism The Bounty Hunter has received, you’d think the actors are just as down-on-the-luck as their characters on screen, but their on-screen personas are rather chirpy, feisty, and fallible…the perfect recipe for a likable character

We’re The Millers

How’d you like to fool the border police to smuggle drugs? Not with the Millers. A rookie, small-time marijuana dealer decides he’ll take a bigger, cross-border assignment because he needs the money. So he ropes in his neighbors & a runaway to play the role of his family. Not only has the movie given us the greatest meme format of all time, it’s also brought together some of the funniest actors.

It’s jam-packed with a star-cast:  Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter, Nick Offerman, Kathryn Hahn, Molly Quinn, and Ed Helms all put their quirks to the best use in this crime comedy. Neither the crime nor the comedy is too strong, whether that’s a good thing, we’ll leave for you to decide.

Horrible Bosses

Jennifer Aniston showing her mean streak? If that doesn’t pique your interest, we don’t know what will. Jennifer has a thing for comedy movies with a star-studded cast. In this case, we have  Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey, and Jamie Foxx.

Horrible Bosses doesn’t play it safe with its black comedy, which explains why many jokes offended the audiences because of their racist, homophobic, or misogynistic nature, but Jennifer holds her own as Dr. Julia Harris, a sexually aggressive boss to his assistant, played by Charlie Day.

Marley & Me

A movie revolving around a dog? We’re already sold. Marley & Me explores how a couple’s dynamic changes after they adopt a free-spirited dog, Marley. The way it’s portrayed we’re supposed to feel like there are lessons in there about the kind of parents John & Jennifer would become, their general compatibility as parents, and a dog’s role in one’s life.

Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston have left quite a mark with their performances in Marley & Me, as they make us laugh & cry throughout the two hours.
