Do the remaining same-day-release movies in 2021 make getting an HBO Max subscription worth it? Why this streaming service is gaining traction.

Do these movies on HBO Max make the price worth it?

While HBO Max is seemingly still the baby of the streaming service group, it has already packed a major punch with subscribers, especially given their promotional same-day release platform that shows multiple 2021 movies being released on the streaming service as well as in theaters. While the method has certainly rubbed much of Hollywood the wrong way, you have to admit, it has given HBO Max a slight edge.

Now, as subscribers anxiously await the remaining movies or 2021, including the likes of Dune and The Matrix: Resurrections, there are still plenty of HBO Max movies that are worth checking out today! Care to learn more about the streaming service? We got your back as always.

What is HBO Max?

Having first launched on May 27th, 2020, HBO Max joined a slate of impressive streaming services, squaring off against strong opponents such as Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus. A property of WarnerMedia Entertainment, HBO Max features a stacked library of content that includes the likes of Game of Thrones, Friends, Westworld, The OC, His Dark Materials, Big Little Lies, Chernobyl, True Detective, and South Park.

By landing a subscription to HBO Max you’ll be invited to experience a wide range of content including HBO premium programming, third-party titles, WarnerMedia’s impressive library, as well as original content made specifically for the trending streaming service, such as the highly recommended The Flight Attendant

If you already have access to HBO through either a cable or satellite provider, then you should have access to HBO Max and all of its amazing content. Certain providers currently offering this streaming service are the following: Xfinity, Wow!, Verizon Fios, Optimum, RCN, Spectrum, Suddenlink, Altice One, Cox, DirectTV, AT&T U-verse, Atlantic Broadband, and Apple TV Channels.

Free trial?

Originally, the HBO Max streaming service did offer a one-week free trial to better highlight to possible subscribers the impressive content they offer. However, right before the 2020 holiday release of Wonder Woman 1984, HBO Max revoked its free trial offer, most likely in an effort to boost subscription numbers before the superhero flick hit their streaming service, avoiding possible abuse of a free trial just to watch it.

Since then, likely due to the long list of same-day release content in 2021, it’s unlikely that HBO Max will include a free trial period exclusively for potential subscribers. However, should you choose to sign up for this incredible streaming service through another outlet, there may be hope for you yet in scoring a free trial for HBO Max. Wanna learn more about what we’re talking about? Let’s help you.

It’s always a prudent move to keep an eye out for possible promotions that offer free trials. For example, if you sign up for HBO Max through Hulu then you’ll likely score a one-week free trial for the streaming service. As well, if you’re currently paying for HBO Now, then HBO will upgrade you to HBO Max for free. Not bad, right? Again, keep your eyes out for those promotional deals . . . it’s the way to go.

Movies to check out?

While we don’t necessarily agree with the promotion, it’s clear that many people are drawn into the streaming service thanks to the aforementioned same-day release deal. However, for $14.99 per month, what upcoming movies are coming to HBO Max that make the subscription fees worth it?

HBO Max has already had a slew of theatrical projects hit the streaming service, including Mortal Kombat, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Suicide Squad, and In The Heights. However, there are still a few more big-time films to hit the streaming service, likely bringing in new subscribers while hurting these movies’ box office in the process!

Dune, which is directed by visionary storyteller Denis Villeneuve is set to come out on HBO Max on October 22nd, 2021, bringing this classic sci-fi story to life thanks to a stellar cast, featuring the likes of Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Oscar Issac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Javier Bardem.

As well, The Matrix: Ressuerctions will hit HBO Max this Christmas season, reuniting Keanu Reeves with the world that sparked the second half of his Hollywood career.
