L.A.P.D.'s investigation of T.I. and Tiny Harris continues on. Why allegations of sexual assault and drugging could lead to jail time for the rapper.

Could T.I. and Tiny actually serve jail time for their sex crimes?

Rapper & actor T.I. as well as his wife Tiny continue to be under police investigation in L.A. following allegations of both sexual assault and drugging. NYC hotshot lawyer Tyrone A. Blackburn is representing eleven separate accusers, eight of whom are claiming they were assaulted, drugged, or even kidnapped by the Harrises or one of their employees.

“This is very sensitive, and I do not want the Harrises to get off on a technicality, because I may have disclosed something prematurely or because something may have gotten out”, Blackburn told The Daily Beast, detailing how he used the victims names in early 2021 to begin preliminary discussions about these claims. “For me, the goal is to get justice for these women, hands down. This is not about money.”

It was announced earlier this year that T.I., who is currently perhaps best known for his work in the first two Ant-Man films, would not be reprising his role in the upcoming Ant-Man: Quantumania, likely due to these very allegations and Marvel’s attempt to separate themselves from the rapper. So, what exactly is the full story surrounding T.I. and Tiny? Is it possible that the two of them could go to jail? Let’s delve in.

Where is started

Earlier in January 2021, Sabrina Peterson, an old friend of the couple, went on her Instagram and accused T.I. of putting a gun to her head – in front of children. Tiny, who’s been married to T.I. for over a decade now, took to her social media in an attempt to defend her husband, saying “stop harassing my family. You strange . . . please get help. But LEAVE US ALONE!”

The plot was thickening even then, and while many had hoped that cooler heads would prevail, the allegations of T.I.’s behavior would go on to be even stronger in the weeks to follow.

Family matters

Not long after, Peterson posted numerous stories on Instagram sharing excerpts she had received from numerous women, seemingly supporting and backing up Peterson’s allegations. Peterson shared a long post, disclosing how “you never heal from the things you don’t reveal” on her Instagram feed.

As well, Peterson posted: “To my women that are speaking & mentally sorting your experiences! I know it’s a lot to process, I’m looking for a therapist for all victims now.” The post featured a photo of herself, blinged out in an evening dress with a blue spotlight placed on her face.

This comes on the heels of Peterson reporting that the T.I. and Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle stars had been responsible for the sexual assault of multiple women, and while all the facts are not yet made available to the public, it’s clear someone is in the wrong here. There are simply not enough details yet to determine who’s telling the truth and who’s not. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the legal system plays out.

New allegations?

Attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn had officially sent a letter to the attorneys in both California & Georgia around March, pleading for them to investigate a variety of claims from different women and one man who claimed T.I. & Tiny “forced drugged, intimidated, kidnapped, and raped” them sometime between 2005-2018.

Blackburn said the following in his letters: “These women are unaware of each other, and without any leading on my part, they recount eerily similar events of sexual abuse, forced ingestion of illegal narcotics, kidnapping, terroristic threats, and false imprisonment.”

T.I’s defense

An attorney for both T.I. & Tiny immediately addressed these new allegations following those of Sabrina Peterson, stating that the couple “deny in the strongest possible terms these baseless and unjustified allegations.”

Their attorney Sadow added the following: “Blackburn repeatedly refused to provide the names of his accuser-clients or any corroborating or supporting evidence of his groundless claims. The Harrises repeat that they are confident if a thorough and fair investigation is conducted, no charges will be brought.”
