Remember Casey Anthony? The woman at the center of a media hellscape around the premature death of her toddler? Here's an update on Anthony now.

What does Casey Anthony think about her daughter’s death now?

Remember Casey Anthony? The woman at the center of a media hellscape around the premature death of her toddler? It’s hard to forget when the same picture of 2-year-old Caylee was plastered on every magazine in the supermarket checkout lines while Nancy Grace & others were unrelenting in their coverage. Caylee could be considered the Gen-Z Jonbenet, but no one wants to say that . . . nor should they.

Once the publicity died down after Casey was acquitted – we’ll get into that in a bit – she faded into self-chosen obscurity, laying low for a few years besides a few paparazzi shots of her carrying a new Yorkie puppy. But in 2017, Anthony gave her first interview with the Associated Press in which she talked about her past, her daughter, and what she thinks happened in the 2008 case.

What do you think Casey has to say about her daughter’s death? Read about it below.

The 2008 murder

Casey was 22 at the time and living in Orlando, FL with her daughter and parents George & Cindy Anthony. According to reports, the last time Caylee was seen alive was on June 16, but it wouldn’t be until the fateful 911 call from Cindy on July 15th that she was reported missing.

Casey was indicted for the murder for several reasons, but the most headline-grabbing was for an air quality sample from the trunk of her car that indicated human remains had been present recently. And who can forget the tattoo Casey got two weeks after her daughter was gone that said “Bella Vita” which translates to “beautiful life”. She reportedly told the tattoo artist that her daughter was with the nanny.

On December 11th of the same year, skeletal remains were found in the woods nearby the Anthony home. Court proceedings began in May 2011 and after a three-month trial that dominated the news cycle, Casey was acquitted on all charges except lying to police. This understandably caused a lot of upheaval in public perception, leading Casey to sink into the background for years.

The 2017 interview

In the interview with the Associated Press, Casey spoke in circles; the transcript was a mess of dodged attempts at misdirection. She did take the time to mention that everyone has their own theory as to what happened to her daughter and even she isn’t sure what truly happened to the little girl that would be fifteen years old in 2020.

When asked what she had been untruthful about, Casey replied it was “things I didn’t know about at the time” and the last time she saw her daughter she “believed that she was alive” and “that’s what was told to me.” Statements like this are littered throughout the interview; Casey’s responses raise more questions than answers.

The AP interviewer attempted numerous times to steer Casey back on track, but her words just kept coming out wrong. When asked about the moment in 2008 when she realized Caylee was missing, Casey’s response mentioned waking up several hours later and not knowing where her daughter was.

“It’s something that’s outside of me that if I knew at this point – if I knew what actually happened, I’d be able to fill in those blanks,” Casey stammered. “I’ve done enough research . . . talked about this to the point where I’ve been in a puddle and not able to talk about it for days afterwards. She is still the central part of my life, the central part of my being, always will be.”

Will Casey Anthony have another kid?

Much has been speculated about the future for Casey Anthony. Shortly after the trial, she adopted a Yorkshire Terrier, which was parodied on Saturday Night Live by Daniel Radcliffe. And now attention has shifted to her potential revisiting of motherhood.

In a 2019 interview for The Dr. Oz Show, Cindy Anthony confirmed that rumors about Casey having another child are untrue, because of Casey’s fears. Her mother Cindy did remark that, if her daughter found the right person to settle down with, another child could potentially be in the cards – but “I don’t think she’d have [another] child on her own.”

Cindy added that if her daughter did decide to procreate again with someone else, she would give them her blessing and “be happy for her.”

In Casey’s Associated Press interview she mused on whether she would be “dumb enough” to bring another child into the world knowing that her reputation could affect her kid’s well-being, whether she could “live with that.”

What do Cindy & George Anthony think?

In the wake of Caylee’s death, lawmakers across the country passed legislation in Caylee’s name making it a crime for parents to delay reporting their missing kids.

Prosecutors alleged that Casey used chloroform to leave Caylee unconscious before duct-taping her mouth & nose to suffocate her, further speculating Casey left the body in the trunk of her car for several days before disposing of it in the woods.

Cindy Anthony, on the other hand, believes the toddler drowned in an accident and that Casey panicked – and “it just snowballed into a big mess.”

Despite a messy trial which included allegations of sexual abuse against George, the family still has love for each other. In the same interview with Dr. Oz, George told Casey to “come home” and that “I would love to just get that hug and be able to talk to her just one more time . . . just be that young woman that I love, and still do.”

  • she is a cold blooded murderer.

  • Maybe Casey could get with OJ and they could start their own “unsolved” mystery private eye service? My guess is they wouldn’t even have to leave the office to crack two of the cases wide open… 🙄

    August 14, 2020
  • Casey Anthony is so guilty of killing her 3 yr old daughter and the evidence is overwhelming. Her lawyer played the jury like an original Strataverious violin. If I had been on that jury he would never had played me. All you need is common sense to see that all the evidence, whether it be circumstantial or not, was overwhelming pointing to Casey. I pray for Caylee and I also pray for Casey. I hope she is truly sorry for killing her daughter so that she can be in heaven one day and not the agonizing torturous eternal hell that most people think she should be in.

    August 18, 2020
    • I will never understand how she got off none of the juror had any common sense I wish they could retry her

      September 10, 2020
      • …. Because…. She is a white woman. That is literally the reason. Statistics dont lie. She would have gotten the chair if she was of any other colour.

        September 13, 2020
      • She got off because the jurors were under punitively strict sequestration for several weeks. They could barely see their family. Only one afternoon per week- supervised. Every move was dictated for them. They couldn’t face 7 more weeks of sequestration in a sentencing phase.
As a result, they failed to find her guilty on any of the numerous lesser included charges, including child neglect, that would’ve led to any time.

        November 8, 2020
    • She is 100 percent guilty whoever doesent think so is just plain stupid

      September 18, 2020
      • Really? A white woman? What about O.J. getting off for brutally slaughtering 2 white people??!!!
Oh, cats got your tongue eh hypocrite???

        September 18, 2020
      • I wanted to smack that smile right off her face. She is a horrible person for what she did to that beauiful baby girl!!!

        October 15, 2020
    • Pray for Caylee, murders are rarely if ever sorry. She obviously wasn’t when she bought her yorkie.

      September 20, 2020
    • Oh nice as long as you feel sorry eventually bi matter what you do you get to go to heaven anyway.

      October 9, 2020
  • My heart goes out to Casey. The hurt she must feel inside and the void in her life is unimaginable. It would be nice if the world would just leave her alone, let her meet a nice man and start a family. I believe her having children will help her heal.

    September 12, 2020
    • Seriously? She obviously killed her daughter and people like you still believe she deserves to live a normal and peaceful life? Nope, she should be in prison.

      September 14, 2020
    • What???????? Were you one of the ignorant jurors??! She killed he child – what peace could she possibly deserve??

      September 15, 2020
    • Hello, how could you be so dense? She’s as guilty of killing her daughter and then trying to cover it up!
She is evil and has no conscience.

      September 20, 2020
    • What about her baby girls life .she didnt have a change to have one and Casey didnt seem to be to worry when she was partying while her daughter was missing

      October 15, 2020
    • Hurt? Void in her life? Those are the consequences to murder.

      October 25, 2020
    • Just wow. She doesn’t deserve shit!

      October 25, 2020
    • Heal from what? She didn’t looked wounded to me when she was turned up for a whole check right after she killed her baby. And even if you look at like someone else did it, what mother is lit when they can’t find their 3 year old baby?! I dnt get exactly what this hoe is healing from🤔..

      October 28, 2020
    • Help her heal?!!!! GTFOH

Her daughter will never heal! She is gone forever. Whoever justifies her actions is a lunatic.

      October 28, 2020
    • Are you insane. She should’ve been put to death

      October 28, 2020
  • yes I can not believe she was not found guilty

    September 13, 2020
  • I thought she was guilty. The nanny was made up, and that’s who she said had her daughter. So right there is one strike. Then the little girl was found in the woods behind Casey’s home. Anyways she’ll have to live with what she knows.

    September 13, 2020
  • She is 100% guilty, there was no justice for this poor child, I hope the memories of her child haunt her for the rest of her life, karma has a funny way of working things out. What comes around goes around, she will pay for what she did one way or another. I would be very surprised if a man would even want to be around her, if you can kill a child, imagine and adult.

    September 14, 2020
    • Well said

      September 20, 2020
  • Should have had a man prosecutor :)

    September 14, 2020
  • I don’t know what the jury was thinking. She didn’t even care that her beautiful daughter was missing. The photos clearly show her partying, any other person would be searching for their child. All she told was a pack of lies, absolute disgrace and no remorse GUILTY

    September 15, 2020
    • Only her and the good Lord know what happened. One thing I know for sure without a doubt, you DO NOT LIE to our Lord cause he already knows what happened and one day we shall all confess before him no doubt. Hopefully its not to late whether Casey committed it or not to find it in her heart to say the truth. Unfortunately everyone pays the consequences sooner or later. Children are blessings that others wish they had. The prosecutors did their very best. It caused a lot of work and pain for lots of people. leave it in Gods hands he has the final verdict.

      September 15, 2020
  • Imagine being one of those idiot jurors who let her get away with murder. I could never live with myself

    September 15, 2020
  • I can’t believe that they didn’t find her guilty. First, How could a mother who loved her child not call the police when she didn’t know where her daughter was; and why was she found behind their house in a swamp in a plastic bag with duct tape on her mouth? Where is the pain in the loss of her child, she claimed she loved? She is definitely guilty!

    September 19, 2020
  • The truth will set you free

    September 19, 2020
  • Common sense is all those jurors did not have. Basically the reason she did not look for her little girl is because she knew where she was all along. Dead in a ditch where she put her. There has got to be a way to retry this case before she writes a book ‘what I would have done if I killed my kid’

    September 19, 2020
  • It was definitely a jury of her peers because Stevie Wonder could see this woman was guilty, if Casey was a woman of color she would be doing life in prison but all that jury saw was a poor misunderstood white girl. White Privilege at its best.

    September 20, 2020
    • Casey is definitely guilty by all means but maybe keep the color of skin out of it this had nothing to do with that, just a bunch of idiot people put on the jury to make a simple decision.

      November 7, 2020
    • Why does everything happen because of racism ? O J gets off because of white privilege ? Susan Smith only got life w/o possibility of parole for 40 years because she is white and blamed an unknown black man ? Give me a break. White people have crappie things happen. We have no one to put the blame on. We have to suck it up. Short people, fat people, people with birth defects all receive discrimination. You think it is only the black short, fat, physically challenged people that get screwed ?

      November 7, 2020
  • Casey lied to her parents nearly three years about working at Universal (among other things). All her friends that she clubbed with worked, she wanted them to think she worked as well, none ever came forward and said she and Caylee hung out with them when she was telling her parents she was working. So I surmise that nearly every day, when her parents were both off to work, she and the child simply came back to the house, and on July 16th, while Casey was texting, or online, or on the phone or sleeping, little Caylee climbed up the pool ladder that had been left up, and fell into the pool. I think Casey discovered her later, dead. She immediately as follows her disorder decided to cover it up to escape her mother’s judgment. She went next door and borrowed a shovel. Found she could not dig a deep enough hole. Wrapped up the body and put it in the trunk of her car, where it stayed until she knew she was running out of gas, when she left it in the woods, and then abandoned the car. Rather than calling 911…this whole event became a side show. Her stories of waking up and being told Caylee would be okay are false, and she is guilty of neglecting to watch the toddler but not deliberately causing her death. JMO.

    September 24, 2020
  • the child was duct taped and her prior search history showed she searched for “foolproof suffocation”…. she definitely did it on purpose.

    September 25, 2020
  • What a joke! The legal system is broken. How can someone so heartless and selfish who is obviously guilty be allowed to live her life with no repercussions from her actions? A sane man would never contemplate having a child with her. Wouldn’t they be worried that she would murder that child as well?

    September 27, 2020
  • Casey Anthony must be retried and sentenced to death penalty. What an evil evil horrible and cruel despicable thing she is. She also falsely accused an innocent nanny. Put her to death please

    September 29, 2020
    • Our laws say that a person cannot be tried more than once for the same crime. Otherwise innocent people could be persecuted.

      November 12, 2020
  • She did murder her child yes
but to her defence ,I feel very sorry for women who have children because it is so much hard work and it can play with your mind especially if you are a single mother
it is very easy for us to judge other but we are no one to judge because a child is a minute to minute event. I do not believe she should be able to have any more children
i believe she gave up that right

    October 5, 2020
    • Wrong on both counts.

      November 8, 2020
  • Those of you insisting that she got off because she is white are completely wrong. She got off because she was young, attractive, and white. She would have received the same treatment had she been Asian, as well. If she had been a 40-year-old, fat, ugly white woman with meth-mouth, she’d be on Death Row. But, when I saw the pictures of her clubbing in a hooker dress, kissing other women, I knew she’d be acquitted.

    October 5, 2020
  • Guilty as sin.

    October 5, 2020
  • Retry this bitch- like what the hellllll

    October 5, 2020
  • They should put all the jurors on trial also thy are all guilty for allowing this nut free jurors will live with the decision for the rest of their lives

    October 6, 2020
  • I think she should be retried…guilty as sin…how can she lay down to sleep at night time..I hope she has night mare’s all night every night..

    October 8, 2020
  • People like her sleep great because they have no remorse or the ability to care about anybody but themselves. The bottom line is, Caylee interfered with her party life and she couldn’t allow that. So she killed that sweet little girl in cold blood, dumped her in the woods and then went to celebrate her new-found freedom, absent of any shred of regret for what she had done- and in what was quite possibly the biggest oversight in this century, she got away with it.

    October 9, 2020
  • Guilty as hell imo.

If you haven’t seen it, google “youtube there’s something about casey”

100% this goes down as a prosecution fail.. or maybe it’s better to say a defense win. Her attorneys did a masterclass on the jury.

    October 12, 2020
  • How could someone not report their child if missing even for a few hours, who does that? She let it go for a month? WTF??? she would have had motives for doing this, what were they? all those lies, how could they be pushed aside? who would go out and party knowing your child was missing?? and why didn’t the parents realise she was gone too? they were supposedly close so why wouldn’t they have asked questions. If the child had have fallen into the pool, any normal person would not have done what Casey did , you would be devastated to the enth degree but you certainly would come out and say it. Then, not later or even never admitting it. This case disgusted me and I cannot believe anyone to have believed that horrid woman. If she ever does have another child someone should take it away IMMEDIATLEY. This makes me angry even writing this that she has gotten away with it. Does not send a good message.

    October 15, 2020
  • Our justice system failed that sweet little girl, may she rest in peace.

    October 17, 2020
  • I’m leaving a comment just in the slight chance she’s narcissistic enough to read comments on articles about her, and I’m sure she is. I remember watching with bated breath for her verdict and when it came back not guilty I literally hit the floor. Then I looked at my newborn daughter with such unimaginable sadness, then held her tighter.

She’s a lying, disgusting piece of utter child murdering filth. I hope she hasn’t had a decent night’s sleep in these last 10 years. The jurors at her trial were the most inept morons to walk this earth for letting this ugly scum off. She better never have more kids. She doesn’t deserve an iota of goodness or peace or love in her miserable, sad life. 10 years ago she was the most hated woman in the world, as far as I’m concerned she still is.

    October 23, 2020
    • Well said. I met a lawyer years ago, who joked about getting a baby murderer off. I didn’t see a damn thing funny. Besides the joke is on him, he will rot in hell

      October 28, 2020
  • What is truly find amazing that a jury is able to find this rodent innocent even of manslaughter, yet they are able to get on with their day, go shopping, got to visit family, hold grandchildren, tell people they love how much they mean to them, Yet, a little child dies, her mother is the devil, but a slick oily lawyer got a hold of them and told them another piece of fiction, they swalled it all up, how could these people on reflection even get out of bed,, they messed up and a killer walks amongst us, a child will never see justice, a lawyer made a lot of money.

    October 25, 2020
    • What about her lawyer, he has to take some responsibility as well. The dogs on the street know she murdered her child, that is obvious…. Hope she never has another child. Rest in peace Caylee you are in a much better place. Xx

      October 26, 2020
  • She absolutely killed her daughter! She’s a cold uncaring, selfish person full of lies! She should be in prison!!She doesn’t deserve to live a normal life! She should rot behind bars and never see daylight! How the jury did not find her guilty is unbelievable

    October 27, 2020
  • Okay now I think the entire family is messed up.

    October 28, 2020
  • Absolutely guilty !!! No doubt about it. What were those jurors thinking?
    Very poor prosecutors !!!!!!

    October 28, 2020
  • Casey escaped justice here on Earth but she will not escape the Judgement of Allah during the Day of Resurrection when every action, small or large will be brought to light.

    October 28, 2020
  • I think there is a gross injustice to her 3 year old. When you can aquit a mother responsible for the welfare of a 3 year old. Find evedence of death in a car and then find her living it up, I wonder where the defense can live with the outcome. The fact she lied over and over tells it’s not an accidental death. If it was why not say so. I hope she doesn’t have anymore kids. When society can be ok with this outcome and she gets to live her life, find love, get a puppy while her 3 year old cannot I cannot comprehend. Do we know everything? Probably not. However if I was a lawyer, a grandparent I would have pushed further to find the truth hidden. Casey’s parents love her but you have to at times be like ,”look what is the truth”. I am positive she had a habit lying as a kid. Pathological even. I also believe that there are times where not facing the truth causes harm. Lawyers are paid to do a job wether their beliefs. In this case that baby was robbed just of plain her life meaning something. I just hope society wakes up and sees accountability is for all not some as well as justice. This isn’t justice

    October 28, 2020
  • She’s a sociopath and I’m curious if a shrink ever examined her. She’s guilty as f. Very evil person.

    October 29, 2020
  • That woman has to be the luckiest killer on earth.

I am from Australia and followed the case from day 1. All the crap every day in court (middle of the night for us) and was gobsmacked at the end.

Her lawyer I thought was dodgy but in the end he was the best thing ever for her.

WHAT drives me and many Aussies crazy is they way the courts work in USA. She would have been found guilty here and given life.

One last thing is you guys are so lucky to watch trials live day by day. We are getting close but not quite there yet

    November 1, 2020
  • Try putting a little girl the look alike of Caylee surprise her and put the chil d in her arms and watch carefuly for a reaction if she s guilty she will go ballistick and perhaps we will know the truth I know this is very trying for the substitute little girls Mum but its worth a try

    November 2, 2020
  • Of course she is guilty of murder. Everybody in the world knows it except for those jurors (they know it now). Double jeopardy is the reason she can’t be retried for the murder of Caylee. But the federal government can use the same thing they used against the Klan members in Mississippi for killing the 3 boys that came down to help blacks sign up to vote. For those who don’t know about this it was in the 60’s. The state of MS put them on trial for murder, big joke there. The movie Mississippi burning is based on this. Anyway the Feds can charge her with civil rights violations, all Americans a guaranteed the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. She would get Fed death penalty and not sit in jail 20 or 30 years waiting, they do it faster. This evil bitch needs to be killed. Even her own father knows she killed that little girl.

    November 5, 2020
  • It is beyond me that a nanny was not questioned, so you can stand up in a court and lie through your teeth about an imaginary person abducting your child then your child is found clearly murdered, and what, the court doesnt bother to find out who the nanny is and bring them forward? Have i missed something! The mother seems to only be worried about going to jail not showing any emotion about her child, if that was me i would never be able to smile again and even though ive said “seems” again, as stated before hand its just common sense and not hard to see through her bs.

    November 8, 2020
  • The fact that she wouldn’t answer questions in court is a total joke, if it was me i would be co operative and answer everything i would be helping my child’s case. wtf!

    November 8, 2020
  • Of course she is guilty, which makes me sick as hell!

    November 12, 2020
  • This is called pretty/white privilege…

    November 12, 2020
  • Her ass is guilty she deserves nothing

    November 30, 2020
  • She is guilty 100%. Possibly because she was
Most likely sleeping with her attorney AND the lead investigator of her case. Whom she has lives with since being found not guilty. WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? Absolutely disgusting. RIP little Caylee… we all love you .
