Here are all the greatest online shooting games to kill your boredom

Looking to kill your boredom by killing living things? Whoa, hold up. We’re not talking about going loco on the brother that’s flung open your door without knocking an ungodly amount of times. We’re talking shooter games.

Please, no killing in the real world, no matter how much your family’s driving you crazy. Online games are a great way to kill your boredom, (not to mention a great way to quench that rage inside you).

The jury’s still out in some people’s minds on whether or not shooting games, in particular, are a smart way to entertain oneself, but plenty of game companies and creators have given the public the green light.

Yay, murder!

Okay, sarcasm aside. Here’s our list of the best online shooting games we know of right now.

Black Squad

This modern military shooter game was created by NS Studio. Fans describe the pace of the game as up-tempo and praise the satisfying array of military weapons. There is a noticeable lack of unnecessary microtransactions, which if you’re wondering, is a good thing.

The game gets regular updates, which keeps things running smoothly. Players will also be relieved to hear that Black Squad is F-R-E-E, free.

Paladins

Looking for a shooting game with a science fiction/fantasy vibe? A lot of the time shooter games are put down for being too realistic and eerily graphic. You won’t have that issue with Paladins.

It’s a clearly cartoony world with things like purple blood and creative fantasy characters. Take the rocket-launcher-toting dragon cyborg named Drogos, for example.

The best part? It’s free. It’s a very broke-person-friendly alternative to Overwatch. Sure, there are things like premium characters that you can only unlock a couple at a time if you don’t shell out any money, but most of the functionality is available in the free version. As one of the biggest hero shooter games in the world, it’s definitely worth trying out.

Counter-strike: Global Offensive

Counter-strike: Global Offensive became free to play in December of 2018. Take that, 2012 Counter-strike: Global Offensive release! The scenario players encounter in this shooter game is one of terrorists vs. anti-terrorists.

One side plays the role of terrorist capturing hostages & setting up bombs, while the other side tries to foil their dastardly plans. We know, sort of morbid, but what shooter game isn’t?

As the rounds progress in Counter-strike: Global Offensive, players are awarded currency to spend on better weapons. This aspect of the game can feel very rewarding.

PUBG

Did we hear you say, “But what about my precious phone? Are there any shooter games that are actually good to play on that?” Why yes, and thank you for asking. PUBG is a well-known shooter game and it has a mobile-friendly version too. It’s a battle royale game that makes use of virtual buttons and toggles sticks in its mobile account to help you take down even the most distant of enemies.

The mobile version even still has voice chat options, so you can coordinate attacks in duo and team-based matches. PUBG Mobile gives you the option of shooting from a first-person or third-person perspective and is completely free. You’re welcome.

Warframe

Let’s not forget Warframe. In this MMO (massively multiplayer online game) you get to control a player in a highly weaponized mechanical suit. You can play with assault rifles, crossbows, flamethrowers, and hundreds more weapons; the list just goes on and on.

Players tend to praise the game’s endless customization capabilities although it does take a hefty amount of in-game money to fully deck yourself out. The first suit you get is free though, as well as the ever-expanding campaign.

That’s all for now, guys. Go ahead. Get out there and kill your boredom.
